Character Boosts & Writer Call!
Open through Feb. 27th
We've gotten a lot of artist submissions, which is great, but they're also interested in working with writers to make collab pieces. For that, we could use more writer submissions! (We are still open to artists and other media, of course.)
I did put that example submissions should be around 1k/3-5 examples for smaller works like poetry, but it's definitely fine to submit a little longer if you need to. Someone else submitted an example that's 2k, and that was fine! The goal is to not need to read a lot per person because I'm going through all submissions myself.
As for the more central characters who could use a boost in representation for ideas so far, here's a list with pictures:

If any of these are a favorite of yours, it's a great idea to apply! This isn't a restrictive list, so you can submit for other character ideas. Including less central ones! If you simply must depict the Bus Stranger through creative means, that's welcome too, lol.

hi, applying to be a writer here, i just had a few questions:
all my work is on ao3, and ive had to private them due to the ai scraping incident(s). when providing a link to the same in the portfolio (assuming i didnt misunderstand about that), do you need me to make them public again so you can access it?
is it okay if i turn in a fic with ship content as part of my portfolio? im not having the same in my final pitch, dw, but since this is about showcasing my skills i feel ive done better as a writer on some of those if you get me. totally okay if not btw.
ik its a bit too early but is it okay if i turn in one pitch for now in the submission form and later change it depending on how i feel?

Most of the Mod Team have their own AO3 accounts so we should still be able to access your fics
As long as the fics in question contain ships between cannon fictional characters like the Demolition Lovers, Red and Blue, ect. those are fine!
there will be a question in the Writer Application Form where you can submit any ideas for what you'd do for the piece, should you be accepted!
