Day 12: The Knights of the Alder

Genre: YA fantasy

What first piqued my interest: The summary does a great job of establishing the major players: a fallen king on the verge of being brought back to life and a human boy who just wants to find his brother but ends up getting involved with the fae. It ends on a great twist, too!

What I want to learn more about: I love the idea of six faerie kingdoms named for trees, and I definitely want to know more about them and how their leaders interacted (I mean, aside from the one who clearly tried to take over and got smacked down before the story begins). Also, I obviously need to know what happened to Aiden’s brother.

What I’m excited about: This sounds like such a fun world in which to hit some of the most excellent fantasy tropes: found family, questing, good vs. evil, dangerous magic, etc. Also, someone mentioned crows?? 😍 #corvidsftw
