This is probably a weird question, but I'm gonna go for it. I find that my age sometimes inhibits what I'm able to write about because of lack of life experience? And my imagination will only stretch so far for certain things. Do you run into this problem too?

Hey there! I have definitely run into that issue before. I’m only eighteen, I still live at home - there’s an enormous list of life experiences that I haven’t gotten around to yet. I think something that really helps here is reading a lot, and researching, and soaking in what others tell you. For example: when I’ve written about Kate being pregnant, I spoke to my aunt who was pregnant very recently and I read pregnancy fic from people that I know have kids of their own and I did some extensive googling. 

I think in writing research is so absolutely crucial, and then your imagination comes in when you start figuring out how your character as an individual is going to react to a certain situation. Researching can mean books or the internet or whatever, but it can also mean talking to people that are going through/have gone through whatever it is you’re writing about. The fact that you haven’t experienced them yourself can definitely be a stumbling block, but I don’t for a moment think it has to be preventative. 

Imagine how dull the fictional world would be if people only wrote what they knew. Yikes!

Do you write original work in addition to fanfic?

Not very often, no. Sometimes for creative writing class. I’m hoping to do more when I go to university

CASTLE

The first character I fell in love with: I'm not sure... but my current overwhelming love for Beckett is clouding my memory, so Kate.

The character who is my 'baby': Kate Beckett

The character who I do not understand: Alexis Castle.

The character that I think the show ruined: ... Alexis Castle

The most attractive male and female character: KEVIN RYAN (like holyshit have you seen Fenton O'Connell??? damn, son. boy can get it) AND KATE BECKETT (surprise, surprise) 

The character death that was the worst for me: umm... no one? I started watching the show on a whim between S3 and S4. I wasn't moved by Montgomery's death because I didn't know the guy. (I watched this show very out of order). 

The character that is the most like me: umm... Beckett or Gates... or an introverted Lanie...

The character I think the writer(s) love: Castle. Or Beckett... And Esposito.

The character that I just want to be happy: Beckett

My four favorite characters, past or present: BECKETT, RYAN, GATES, AND MARTHA (honorable mentions to Jenny, Jordan Shaw, and Norman Jessup)

My four least favorite characters, past or present: ERIC VAUGHN, Pi, Alexis, and Esposito

YES. I’m in love with it. Gorgeous. (Yeah, I mean, I’m not fantastic, but I do all right. Piano part for Say Something is really only comprised of four chords anyway :))

Ninaaaaa, I am not your anon, but I have been listening to that song for FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT. I even learned the piano for it. sigh.
