This was one of the original ideas I had for the cover of this week story, but I decided it looked a lot ‘Indiana Jones’ like. So, I recycle it for today’s photo, starring the old book collection from my grandfather. These books are a whole collection of Emilio Salgari’s adventure stories, edition of 1935. Really. 1935! One day these books will probably became part of an exclusive collection of ancient books, but right now they are on my library. And for some reason, my grandfather glued some newspaper, magazine pages, and maps inside the covers. I don’t have a big library. I mean, I may have a big library, but the truth is that I don’t collect books. I don’t have much money of my own, and I feel guilty if I go buying pretty editions. I used to think I could have a big library and collection of books someday, until my family (LIES, that was actually my mother) decided to re paint the house last year. Thing is I don’t have a big library… in my room. Then there is the library of my mother, in the living room. An old, wooden library from the 1930’s tall to the roof and almost as wide as half the wall. And it’s full of book collections, old newspapers and magazines, vinyl’s discs, and that car license plate we found while travelling one day. Moving that from the main room to another, and back to the wooden library was a pain that I will always remember as don’t have more things that the ones you can carry when travelling. Don’t get attached to them. Because that is what glues you to the floor. I buy a lot of e-books. They doesn’t make an impressive library, but hey! They are so light to carry. On writing, I feel like I just hit a wall. But I’m so determined to finish the story that if I can’t punch the wall into an explosion, I’m going to jump over it. Tomorrow I’ll publish. I promess.
