Thanks so much for the tag @starquestingfordrarry! <333
how many works do you have on ao3? 337
what's your total ao3 word count? 1,454,047
your top 5 stories by kudos
Right Hand Red (with freakin’ 40,662; sorry, I just noticed that it had ticked over the 40k mark and I’m flabbergasted and so grateful as well <3 )
Hung Like a Horntail
Slip Into My Lover’s Hands
Weeds or Wildflowers written with sdk / @unmistakablyoatmeal
check this hand ‘cause I’m marvelous
do you respond to comments? Er… yes?? Like, very. verrrrry. slowly. But I’ll admit that some will never get answered because I lose steam and then when I start trying again, I start with the newest ones. This might sound horn-tooty, which is not how I intend it, but with the number of stories I’ve written, I get a lot of comments. I’ve found it impossible to keep up, but I do my best, even if my best is sometimes a bit crappy. I do read and appreciate every comment I get though!
what's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? I don’t really do angsty endings often. When I do, it’s usually a Prongsfoot or something. Of the Drarry fics I’ve written, I have one open ending but it’s still pretty hopeful, and that’s Burning the Ground.
what's the fic you've written with the happiest ending? All of them. :D My goal in life is to get readers (and myself) to cry with joy at the end of my stories. Some standouts just from memory are Heart Like Neon, Bolts, Take You Home, Jasmine in Bloom, Right Hand Red, Blood and Fire, and The Most Splendid Thing.
do you write crossovers? Maybe one or two over the last 25 years. So, statistically, not so much.
have you ever received hate on a fic? LOL of course. :D But I don’t linger on those comments. They’re quite few honestly.
do you write smut? No, never.
have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes.
have you ever had a fic translated? Yes. Quite a few have been. Not even sure how many languages, but I know there are several in Russian, Chinese, and I think both Spanish and Portuguese.
have you ever co-written a fic? Yes! With the incredibly talented sdk, @the-starryknight, and @nv-md! (And one round robin with like 552 people lol.)
what's your all-time favorite ship? Drarry, my beloved. <3
what's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? I don’t really have wips. I’m a chronic finisher. I did start something last year for a friend’s birthday and then pooped out. I ended up writing her a completely different pairing months later. And then I took some of the vibes and ideas from that unfinished fic and wrote them into other fics that I *did* finish, so… Cannibalism. Yeah.
what are your writing strengths? LOL finishing things! :D Also: smut, for sure. Humor. Sort of achy, hot romances? My trademark is writing tenderness and filth simultaneously. I’ve gotten good at pacing things well, so that beats and arcs feel well-rounded and satisfying, I think.
what are your writing weaknesses? Ugh, plot!!! Specifically non-romance-or-pairing-based plotlines are difficult for me. Heavy angst. Also stakes. I struggle to up the stakes for my characters enough to give a big payoff. I struggle to make my characters change enough or to effectively write that change in a satisfying way. (This applies more to my original writing than to fic, I think.)
what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I’m not sure what the hot take here is and if there is one I’m missing it. My original novel has a Spanish speaker and he will sometimes slip into Spanish during conversation. I wanted to get that right, so I had a native Spanish speaker (hi @capipuff!) read it to correct my bad Google-translated Spanish. So I guess my thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic is, do your best to get it right?
what's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to? If I want to write something, I write it. :D
what's your favorite thing you've ever written? Oof. Wow. I want to say my original novel, even though it’s also more flawed than my fic tends to be. It’s certainly one of the things I’m most proud to have written. <3 Usually my favorite fic is the last thing I’ve written and that’s true right now as well. I love The Most Splendid Thing. But before that, my favorite was probably Jasmine in Bloom, and before that it was Take You Home. Bolts is for sure in the running. Heart Like Neon is way up there as well. As is My Name in Your Mouth, because I love that Teddy Lupin with all my horny heart.
Okay I'm going to tag some of you fine folks now: Ali, you're it! Also, @writcraft @shiftylinguini @phoebe-delia @wholahoop @saintgarbanzo @academicdisasterfic @citrusses @corvuscrowned @lettersbyelise and @magpiefngrl
I'm sure I've answered a few of these before but saw an interview post from @dyrewrites with an open tag so I figured I'd answer it! Answers below the read-more as this got long:
------------------
When did you start writing?
The earliest proper stories I could recall writing (not the spelling stories or what not they made us do for homework) was a series of stories I wrote with my wife when we were kids (we've known each other since we were 10) From 5th to 8th grade back in the 90s, we wrote stories of a flat world with islands populated by talking insects and strange creatures beneath the sea, kingdoms obsessed with rutabagas and beets, cities straddling volcanoes and built into chasms and high up in golden and silver trees that grew massive fruit. This world could be visited from ours via the Bermuda Triangle (it was a trapezoid on the other side). Then we discovered Discworld and the flat planet stories kind of faded away due to there being a much better and funnier one, replaced by another far better written epic fantasy story that was primarily my wife's, she kept it up until about a year or so after our son was born. I kept writing my various tales on my own but she's only written now and again since then for classes and such (and every story has been great). I miss that long-running fantasy story and wish she could brush it off and update it now she's a much better writer, sigh.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
Hmm, I mostly write what I also read-scifi, fantasy, speculative fic and genre stories. But I do enjoy the mystery genre and rarely write that (though elements of mystery stories do appear in my works) I also enjoy humorous stories, non-fiction, slice of life stories, historical novels, plays, folklore and legends, classic novels, middle grade and young adult fiction, etc. I often incorporate elements of all those different genres into my stories but seldom do I actually write anything specifically in those areas.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
There's a number of authors I'd love to be compared to and have tried emulating/been influenced by over the years (and a few I no longer look to despite having once enjoyed their works but nonetheless are on this list): From childhood to adulthood, I'd say my influences in order would likely be J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Arthur Conan Doyle, Gordon Korman, H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Ellen Raskin, Eleanor Cameron, Judy Blume, Lois Lowry, Jerry Spinelli, Beverley Cleary, Louis Sachar, Jean Merrill, Roald Dahl, Bertrand Brinley, E.L. Konigsburg, George Selden, P.L. Travers, Daniel Pinkwater, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Brian Jacques, Elizabeth Winthrop, Robert Louis Stevenson, Virginia Hamilton, Katherine Patterson, Robert C. O'Brien & Jane Leslie Conly, Wilson Rawls, Nancy MacArthur, Sid Fleischman, Shel Silverstein, Norton Juster, J.D. Fitzgerald, Madeleine L'Engle, J.K. Rowling (sigh), Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, Rudyard Kipling, Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, Anne McCaffrey, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman (sigh again), Philip Pullman, Orson Scott Card (another sigh), William Goldman, William Shakespeare, Samuel Coleridge Taylor, William Blake, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Herman Hesse, George Orwell, Jane Austen, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Arthur Miller, William Faulkner, Albert Camus, Aldous Huxley, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Ken Kesey, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, H.P. Lovecraft (sighing yet again), Douglas Adams, Dave Barry, Erma Bombeck, Terrance Dicks, Kate Orman, Paul Cornell, Lawrence Miles, Stephen Cole, Justin Richards, Lloyd Rose, Paul Leonard, Andy Lane, Paul Magrs, various other Doctor Who book writers, Terry Brooks, Lois McMaster Bujold, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, Christopher Paolini, Frank Herbert, George R.R. Martin, Lisa Tuttle, L.E. Modesitt, Jr., Naomi Kritzer, Jacqueline Carey, Yann Martel, Robert Jordan, Philip K. Dick, Gregory Keyes, Brandon Sanderson, Mary Stewart, Alice Sebold, Edward Rutherford, Kurt Vonnegut, Oscar Wilde, Carl Sagan, Nancy Kress, Suzanne Collins, Flannery O'Connor, Jim Butcher, Naomi Novik, Rick Riordan, Octavia Butler, Maggie Steifvater, Leigh Bardugo, V.E. Schwab, Patrick Rothfuss, N.K. Jemisin, John Scalzi, Ursula K. LeGuin, Katherine Addison, Bryan Lee O'Malley, Phil and Kaja Foglio, Alan Moore, Hiromu Arakawa, Ryogo Narita, Naoki Urasawa, Tite Kubo, Korei Horikoshi, Yuki Tabata, Kazue Kato, Katsura Hoshino, Tsugumi Ohba and many more (seriously, I read a lot and can recall a lot of authors/graphic novelists/mangaka)
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
I usually write in the corner of our apartment's office. I have a threadbare second-hand wing-backed chair with wine red upholstery that I sit in, another chair nearby for my snacks and drinks to rest on (where my laptop resides when I'm not using it) An old floral-pattered rug from my grandfather's home is on the floor with notebooks by my feet while a keyboard and piano stool are a few feet away. My wife's computer desk is in the other corner, there's a very full bookshelf nearby, a three-headed stand lamp, some old Impressionist paintings leaning against a wall, an overflowing closet full of knick-knacks and a guitar on its stand. Also some framed Van Gogh prints and plaques/certificates on the walls.
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
I read a few books, watch a few videos, I check out a few interesting articles, I scroll through the Internet searching for images of things I'm fond of that I find inspiring-castles, forests, strange creatures, cityscapes, mountains, planets, stars, churches and cathedrals, statues, parks, graveyards, gardens, spaceships and space stations, old paintings, museums, trains, etc. Usually something is bound to inspire me at that point. Sometimes I go for walks or cook meals or go shopping and usually can gain inspiration from that.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
I'd say some recurring themes include memory and forgetfulness, friendship and love, isolation, misunderstandings, regret and remorse, sacrificing for another, staying steadfast by someone's side no matter what and unbreakable bonds, crossing boundaries, the strange and surreal beyond our understanding, dealing with one's dark side, escaping strict religious and authoritarian backgrounds, faith in something despite the darkness, conflict over belief vs facts proving otherwise, civilization falling and rebuilding again and individuals doing the same, walking along paths of self-destruction and self-sabotage, surviving the end of the world and wondering if there's something better beyond and then having to build it, suppressing hidden selves and identity struggles, learning from mistakes, the seven deadly sins and virtues and how too much and too little of any can affect someone, great consequences caused by small actions, plenty of others it would take too long to think of. To paraphrase William Faulkner, the human heart in conflict with itself is the only thing worth writing about and even if I don't subscribe to such an absolutism in full many of my themes do try to reflect that (alongside the man vs. god, man vs. nature and man vs. machine aspects of a lot of speculative fiction)
What is your reason for writing?
I have always devoured stories and had a fondness for words and having been shaped by them, wish to return the favor and bring to light stories that blend together my experiences, views, fixations and interests with what I've read into something that can reconnect with others who enjoyed the same stories I did. I have always been lonely and find it difficult to connect with other people and stories have been one of the few ways in which I have managed to make that happen. I have too many worlds in my head and I need to bring them to life as best as I can.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
I am always motivated by kind words, by specific images or story sequences being brought to life as having been enjoyed, by people telling me they want to know more/read more, by explicitly pointing out phrases or sentences or images that get stuck in people's mind. Favorite characters or locations or creatures or scenes/chapters getting pointed out is always fun to see. Overall, if people tell me they like something I've written and want to read more, I'm usually ecstatic and motivated.
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
I would like to be thought of as a friendly fellow writer doing his best to be entertaining and helpful, a decent world-builder and wordsmith, as someone who looks forward to sharing stories and characters and worlds with. As someone who makes them smile and intrigues and inspires them/makes them think or wonder about the stories they love and wish they could tell. At the very least, I hope you like what I write and don't run away screaming.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
I have a great sense of imagery, sensory writing and visuals, a massive, eclectic and varied vocabulary, a fondness for alliteration and adding rhythm and motion to my writing, I've read so much that I can weave new stories out of multiple different story and genre types, I can create fun and interesting characters, I have an oddball sense of humor, I always have some obscure/absurd/bizarre new facts to share, I can improve dramatically given enough time to think, consider and develop (my writing used to be as fusty, stuffy, pompous and prickly as I can sometimes be; I've mellowed out a lot over the years). At any rate, I like that there's always something interesting and otherworldly about my writing, something you might not see in ordinary stories (even in some of the genres I usually read and write).
How do you feel about your own writing?
I used to hate everything I wrote and be ashamed of it and trash it almost immediately after-but loved it while writing, convinced I was a great author in the making. I never shared anything with anyone unless it was for an English assignment because of my creeping self-doubt and anxieties. My stories were bloated, overwrought, too full of melodrama and malaise, heavy-handed and often tedious with no real stakes or emotions or anyone someone might really care about, too obviously wearing their influences on their sleeve and impressed with their own cleverness. Nowadays I feel my writing is much more approachable and human and I try to write something I think others might like as much as I do-if something comes off impressive, it's because I genuinely worked hard at it rather than just assuming its good because of wit and word-choice. I've spent a lot of time trying to get character voices right and distinct so they don't all sound like a bunch of stuffy Victorian gentry (a classmate in college said everyone in my story sounded that way; it was a Victorian pastiche but even so...) And now I'm actually learning to plan/organize/think ahead at least somewhat in a way that still allows for creativity-and my story's stronger for it. I actually kind of enjoy what I'm writing now and its been real fun.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
I usually write for myself first but always try to keep readers at least a little in mind-after all, not everyone has read the dense amount of books, poems, plays, graphic novels and manga I've read. Fortunately reading a lot means I can often write a lot of what others will hopefully enjoy as I analyze those works to extrapolate what works for me in a story and will hopefully therefore work for someone else. Readers and I may not have the exact same tastes but hopefully we have enough in common we can all find something to enjoy in my writing.

what's the fic you've written with the happiest ending? Probably Within You Without You
do you write crossovers? Nah, they just don't interest me (no shade to anyone who enjoys them!)
have you ever received hate on a fic? Not yet...knocks on wood

have you ever co-written a fic? Nope
what's your all-time favorite ship? the world may never know

what are your writing strengths? I FEEL like I'm decent at dialogue/banter, but who knows
what are your writing weaknesses? 1000000% it's weaving in descriptions (settings, etc.). I struggle so much with it and always try to learn from others.
what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? If I did I'd probably just use Google Translate and then try and find a native speaker to double check it
what's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to? I am so hyperfixated on drarry that honestly, I have no other ships in my sights
what's your favorite thing you've ever written? I had so much fun with one of my latest fics, The (Chaotic) Courting of Harry James Potter. It's pure shenanigans and I was laughing at my own writing like an idiot

Tagging @sweet-s0rr0w, @wolfpants, @dodgerkedavra, @lettersbyelise, @thecouchsofa, @heyjude19-writing, @tackytigerfic and anyone else who sees this and wants to give it a go!
Thank you, @gingerlegacy07 for the tag! Y'all should check her out! She's amazing and a great writer :]
When did you start writing?
Hm, I think I started writing ever since I was 9. It was at first just a little children's book. I've always liked drawing and writing, and coming up with crazy things, lol.
I loved taking Creative Writing class when I was 17, and that's when I also started writing my own original novel.
Writing fanfiction, I started about a year ago, with Hogwarts Legacy. I just had a couple ideas and decided to just give it a shot and write them. Now, I'm still writing HL fanfics and enjoying it so much :]
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
Ummm, I'm not sure. Maybe enemies to lovers as I personally don't think I can write that wonderful trope well. But I love to see it, like Zutara, lol.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
No, as I write with my own style. I might be inspired by works of others sometimes, but I intend to make stories with my own take and my own way.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
Well, if I write at my home, I usually do it at my desk! Per my name, I have some dragon stuff on my desk, lol, as well as a ceramic cup of pens and pencils and a lamp.
If I feel bored at my desk, I would move to the kitchen table or the living room, just to have a change of scenery. I also sometimes go to a coffee shop and camp there for a few hours while drinking mochas and such.
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
I often listen to songs and think of which pairs or characters fit them. And even when I watch a show or movie, I find myself wondering what characters from HL would be like in it, hahaha.
So honestly...the most effective way is just me lost in thought XD. I have one interesting thought, then I keep following that thought, and it just builds up in there. And my creativity has me start to write it.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
Family is huge in my writing. Whether it's blood family or - more frequently - found family. Also friends that are like family. And just being supportive and having healthy relationships. Wonderful happy love and fluff everywhere!
It doesn't surprise me, lol. I don't like sad endings or anything too depressing. I can't handle it, and I always want happy endings after many rough trials or trauma.
With Sebastian, I always have him redeemed when he's in a relationship with my MC Estelle. And she needed healing of her own too. And they just make each other so happy and they love each other so much. All the fluff for them and my other otps :]
What is your reason for writing?
It's mainly because I wanted to a certain story and didn't see it out there, so I decided to write it myself. In doing so, I hope that others enjoy the stories too.
Anyone that's seen the majority of my incorrect quotes or read some of my stories know I'm a huge shipper of Garrelda. I love them to bits, I'll forever captain that ship if need be, lol. So, when HL fics were still coming out, I didn't any (if at all) or Poppinis. I decided to give it a shot and write for those pairings, more of Poppinis at first. I loved Poppinis as a ship first before I fleshed out my take on Garrelda more.
In the end, I write stories that I randomly get inspired to write, and I just send them out there, not knowing if others wanted to read such a thing, lol
Is their any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
Any positive comment showing love for the story just makes me so happy. Seeing them appreciate it always makes me smile. Those comments help me remember people do like what I write, and it's a nice reminder :]
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Eh, I don't know if there's anything I want to be thought about. But I guess a "provider" of Garrelda content, as I often write that pairing, especially with my recent on-going fic. Or just a "truly writing dragon", lol, as I keep sending out more stories for people to read in the HL fandom.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
I think writing emotions and characters. I try to make the characters feel real, and I do my best in describing them so they're relatable to readers.
How do you feel about your own writing?
I feel like it's improving, which is great to see. But that makes me grimace about my first fics I wrote, as I know they can be a bit rough. But that's how it goes, and I do feel pretty proud of how far I've come, and I do like my writing more from time to time. I admittedly am still my worst critic, though.
And those are my answers! Thank you for whomever came up with this! :]
Big thanks to @moltenwrites for the tag! I've seen this going around and was hoping to be tagged at some point. *rubs hands together* There'll be a readmore at the bottom with the templates for both desktop and mobile.
About me
When did you start writing?
Very young, around 5-6. I remember there was homework where the teacher gave everyone a list of words and asked us to write a sentence with each word. I would turn in a paragraph for each instead 😂 When I was 14 I was writing a lot of Doctor Who fic on FFnet (I can't believe that was 16 years ago 💀) and during the lockdown I started writing again for something to do.
Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write?
I don't think so? Sorry, that's a really unsatisfying answer, I know. It's like when you're asked what your favourite book is and you instantly forget every book you've ever read 😂
Is there an author you want to emulate, or are compared to often?
Is this gonna be weird? Probably. Am I gonna fight through the anxiety anyway? Sure, you betcha! @septembriseur is one of the best writers I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Your Telford is second to none. Thank you.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
Just sitting in my bed cradling my laptop. Despite only being 3 and a half years old it's got a whole host of things wrong with it, the most problematic being a loose connection somewhere inside the charging port. To be able to charge I have to sit in a very specific position and stay still, with a metal water bottle braced against the charging cable to keep it pushed in, another cable tied around it with an elastic band and hooked over the opposite side of the laptop. It's... honestly not the best lol. But it's a gaming laptop so getting it fixed would probably be expensive and I just don't have the money.
What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Am I allowed to say drugs? 😂 I'm prescribed ADHD meds and Pregabalin for anxiety, and they both help me focus enough to get words down on the page. I'd be pretty screwed without them tbh. I had an appointment with a doctor today and am getting an instant release ADHD medication added to my prescription as the extended release wears off by mid-to-late afternoon, so maybe I'll be able to get another daily writing session in when I take that!
Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and/or places you write about?
Hn. I want to say not really, but it must have influenced me in some way, right? Kids are sponges and will soak up and mimic the behaviours of the adults around them, and often people will reach adulthood with opinions and ideas that they don't even realise were created by an outside influence.
Are there any reoccurring themes in your writing? If so, do they surprise you?
QUEER! And no, it doesn't surprise me at all. 😂 I love writing about self-discovery, characters figuring out they can grow outside of the box society has built for them.
Characters
Would you please tell me about your current favorite character?
So, uh, I'm just gonna link y'all here, where I ramble on about David Telford from Stargate Universe for fucking ages. He's in my brain spinning plates as we speak. (He never stops.)
Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life?
Well, in real life I wouldn't want to be friends with anyone in the military. While the US military is a special interest of mine because of Stargate, I am very aware that these characters are not realistic when compared to their real life counterparts. Realism in this area is one reason my favourite of the series is Universe, but even then these men aren't... Well, let's just say that - just like in politics - you don't get far in the military if you're a good person.
Which characters would you dislike the most of you met them?
😬😬😬 I mean, the fact they're dislikeable is part of the draw, ya know? I think irl-Young would suck absolute balls. 😂
Tell me about the process of coming up with your characters?
Not super applicable as I'm a solely fandom writer, but the parts of the characters we're not given by the show come to me as I write, like puzzle pieces slotting into place. A good back-and-forth conversation is another excellent way to dig deep into them.
Do you notice any reoccurring themes/traits in your characters?
QUEER! But being serious, I've given both Everett Young (SGU) and John Sheppard (SGA) intrusive thoughts...
My writing
What’s your reason for writing?
Escapism. Creativity. The characters are in my head screaming at me.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating?
Ooh, the long back-and-forth conversations! I'm here to talk endlessly about these little fucking blorbos and I will ramble about them to anyone!
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Taking this very seriously: a man. I know that fandom is typically a woman-dominated area and I've met quite a few other trans people through Stargate, but yeah. I know there are cultural differences with what are generally considered gender neutral terms around the world, but I do not want to ever be referred to as a girl or with woman-coded terms. I've had to fight hard to be able to be myself: man, dude, bro, there are a lot of choices.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
Hmm... consistency? I set the New Year's resolution to write something every day in 2022. That year I missed 2 and half weeks because I had top surgery and while beforehand I thought 'awesome, I'll have plenty of time to write!' it turned out that recent wounds almost in my armpits makes it quite painful to move my arms... 🤔 In 2023 I wrote every day and so far I've kept that up in 2024. It's not always a lot of words, but it's always something.
What have you been told is your greatest strength as a writer is by others?
Characterisation. I've been told I've got my SGU boys (Telford, Young, and Rush) down to a tee.
How do you feel about your own writing?
There's a cycle where I look back at stuff I've written and compare it to what I'm currently writing and think 'this new stuff isn't as good', but in 3 months the stuff I'm currently writing will be what I think is good so... There are pieces I'm especially proud of, of course. If you'd allow me to plug for a moment, I think a memory, a distant echo is one of the best things I've ever written. Mind the tags though.
If you were the last person on earth, would you still write?
Yeah sure. I write primarily for myself so I don't see any reason why I'd stop. I wouldn't live long though lmao
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both?
First point of contact has to be with me, always. If something doesn't resonate with me, I can't write it. Forcing things is going to make writing unenjoyable and for me it's one of the most joyous things I do and I want to keep it that way. That said, if there's specific interest in a certain idea I have, that of course does motivate me. Feedback is the nectar of writers!

Yes!!! I love comments and they’ve really dwindled off lately which is really disappointing and a little disheartening.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Nothing majorly Angsty as I am one for Happy Endings but i think probably the most angsty place to leave a fic was probably Sweet Sorrow, which is part of the Boulevard of Broken Dreams AU… with Ben and Sophie parting but other than that probably Benedict and Sophie’s Baby Bridgerton had the angstiest Ending
7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve ever written?
I have not written one. Never say never and all that but it’s unliekly.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Surprisingly no. Not “surprising” because I think I should have, just that everyone seems to get some sooner or later.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
LOL.
Yes.
It’s basically p*rn. I write all sorts. I’ve written Slash, I’ve written group… other than incest there isn’t much I won’t write.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I’m aware of but I have had ideas stolen and used them in their fics… and I know who it was and they had the cheek to unfollow me and block me.

I have not.

I went the top of the hotel I was staying in NYC and took pictures of Nicola Tesla’s hotel room.
Q: Who has been your biggest mentor?
I don’t think I’ve ever had a mentor. I talk to certain ppl and love their prose, case in point will always be @phen0l and @kirachama. I love how certain stories are written from authors like Osamu Dazai, Hiromi Kawakami and manga from Akiko Higashima. I love listening to music from IU and right now Kasey Musagraves. These all inspire/mentor what I try to emulate in my own writing.
Q: What has been your most memorable writing project?
Mostly recently I think Heartbeat, Heartbreak since it dealt with some personal issues but overall Pastel Colors since it was my first Bucky story.
Q: What does your writing path look like, from the earliest days until now?
I used to write whenever I felt like it then I tried outlining but it didn’t work out. Now, I get an idea and trying to make some vague plot line, but I really just move week by week and try to keep a solid schedule so I don’t lose myself in so many ideas.
Q: What is your favorite part about writing?
Brainstorming or daydreaming ideas, thinking of different situations and the path a character can take it fun!
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
Wake up. Work/Procrastinate. Home. Sleep.
Q: What does your writing process look like?
Hmm, I used have thought or idea of what I want to write for the day and write a little bit throughout the day, mainly in the afternoon/evening
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve gotten?
It’s not as bad as you think it is.
Q: What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
To not care what other people think. To write for yourself.
Q: What advice would you give someone who wants to start writing?
It’s scary but never regret sharing your words with others, somebody will find it lovely or you’ll be so proud that you went through with it!
