A sample of 6504 students were asked questions regarding the relationship they had with their mother and the number of friends they had. A question regarding what grade their best friend was in, was asked as well. Out of the total number, who were asked the question, the search was further modified to only include those who very cared very little by their mothers and those who had a best friend in 9th grade and above. This resulted in a final sample of 31 adolescents, out of which (45.16%) felt that they were not close to their mother and fell into the category 2. *For the next question, only those who felt that their mother cared very little for them were included, which resulted in a sample of 31 students. *For the next few questions, adolescents were asked regarding risky behavior and the number of three best friends who engaged in such risky behavior, out of which (80.65%) replied that they did not engage in tobacco habits during the past 30days , (41.94%) replied that they did not smoke in the past thirty day and 61.29% admitted to smoking at least one or two puffs of cigarettes in the past. (58.6%) of the adolescents admitted to consuming alcohol, out of which (29.03%) had friends who had consumed alcohol in the past. *There were no number of missing replies reported in this result, as the research was specifically modified to subset the required criteria.
