So what if there was a society where they only ate foods that matched their skin tones. And only wore clothes that divided them into their race by the colors. And to go against these codes was forbidden and hadn’t been done. Until one day a beautifully dark skinned African girl tries cheese, and potatoes and milk for the first time and falls in love, with all the different cultures, and she tells her friend at school and instead of the cliche “but the codes there will be consequences” she breaks into a smile and says “I’ve always wanted to try chocolate!” And they meet in the school bathroom and exchange lunches and start wearing clothes outside of the assigned colors for each race and they start a cultural reformation. No sub plot of romance, just two unlikely girls rewriting the entire construct of their culture. Binding everyone together in love and admiration instead of fear and hate. Idk just an idea I had.
