“So what if I have to wear torn clothes. So what if I’ll have to dance in front of those, Who look at me with their evil eyes. Or in front of those, who don’t even realise I’m there. So what if I embarrass myself. The touch of the small round metal in my torn hands. The thought, that i am helping my family. The smile on my poor mother’s face, when I give her the 10rupee note. It’s all worth it.” ~~~~~~~ All of us see these little boys and girls while on the road. Some of us give them money. Some of us ignore them. And some of us wonder why do they have to do this. We blame their parents and say that they force them to do stuff. “Child Labour” we call it. But is child labour really child labour if the child is doing it with his or her own consent? Is it really child labour, when the child feels that earning money, or rather getting something to eat, is better than being educated? Is it really child labour when the child understands that this world runs around money and not education? ~~~~~~~ I’m not trying to say that child labour is justified. I’m just trying to understand the mindset of the child when he/she works. Perks of being a psychology student. But you should think about it. ~~~~~ #photography #SelfClicked #writingcommunity #writersofinstagram #poet #travel #travelling #writer #writing #dowhatyoulove #life #nature #creative #poetry #poetscommunity #poetcommunity #tumblrpoets #tumblr #inspiration #quotes #youth #love #live #smile #laugh #fly #midnightthoughts #writingsbytrisha (at New Delhi)
