Lips quirked into a smile as a quiet laugh left her lips, "as much as I hate that color, I'll admit you look..." Draco's gaze flicked down Neville's form then slowly raked back up until steely orbs settled on his chest and arms. She let out a soft breath of appreciation, "I'll just say I'm doing what I can to keep from climbing you here and now." She finished as her gaze met his, plush lower lip slightly reddened after her teeth released it.

"Look," Blake began but paused to talk a breath. "I wasn't... The words nearly burned his tongue but he forced them through his lips.

                          WELL, AT least she was honest about it and a lot more contrite than other people who were in her same position. in an industry filled with deceit, lies and betrayal, penelope’s honesty was quite refreshing. reid sat back against his seat, regarding her carefully. “i appreciate your honesty,” reid said, folding his arms across his chest. “while a few directors would be happy with the attention and that power, i’m not one of them.” he had sworn he would never be one of those sleazy directors who make actresses sleep with them for a better part in their films. “don’t get me wrong; i’m flattered with the attention.” who wouldn’t be? he would be blind to deny penelope’s beauty and charm. “but i won’t use sex with you as a currency. that’s just not who i am.” he frowned a little though, unfolding his arms and resting them on the arm rest of his seat. “casting in films is a process. most of the time, we want established actors in lead roles because that what draws people in,” he explained. “since you’re not nearly as established nor as well known, you won’t get a lead role.” that was probably a little blunt, but reid was always quite blunt with actors. “at best i might be able to give you the role of a side character,” he added, so as to not crush her hopes.

Another day at the office instead of the precinct. Carter missed the buzz of the lobby where cops would be hustling criminals, suspects, and drunken teenagers in and out of cells. He missed the late nights sitting in his patrol car waiting for a call to come through the radio. 

Carter now worked at his parent’s law firm. Crunching files, sitting in on cases, fetching coffee, and most of the time staring out of the window at the passing cop cars on the street, their sirens blaring through the air. His focus was pulled away when he heard the elevator doors open to reveal a young lady. Carter sighed and stood slowly, smoothing out his shirt before smiling softly at her. Williams Corp was expecting a new secretary, so Carter was assuming the lady coming in was her. He made his way over to her and held his hand out to her. “You must be Alsyon, the new Secretary. Name’s Carter.”

luna stood with her broom resting against her hip, hoards of students had crowded to the very inner most edge of the seating arena while professors swept across the field to the gryffindor chaser that had been thrown into the ground. it wasn’t by luna’s doing, but she was a bit impressed, as keeper luna might have managed the same assault had the chaser gotten within her range of retaliation but alas...a hufflepuff beater had pummeled the fourth year to the turf. “how many bones do you think are broken?” she muses to pansy, if they had anything in common between their respective houses...it tended to be the amusement that could be found in watching shared rivals eating dirt. “this is why i’m a keeper...i might feel bad.” she might...but then again she might not also. luna was very aggressive when people entered her personal space in an unwelcomed manner.

“Don’t upset your father, not now.” He didn’t even have to look up to know who was coming through the door. Quinton knew that the man was busy, which  he knew because he was the one who had planned his schedule. “Just leave a note with me,” he knew it was a bit cold towards her but he tried his to keep his work and personal life seperate and if he wanted to keep his relationship with his bosses daughter.

“Come on, Serena,” he said with a roll of her eyes. She couldn’t possibly actually believe that. “This is me trying. I swear. I don’t see why you can’t see that.”

She frowned and shook her head, eyes back on him again after a second. “You don’t get to say you’re trying when I’m the one who has to keep making sacrifices to come see you..”
