The Paper World Society (Book One of the Ever Soul Quartet)

Blurb: Hikari Matsuda has not always been Hikari Matsuda. In 1996 she was named Glory Noel. In 1970 people called her Fonte Tergat. In 1950 she was Maribel Reyes. She has had thousands of names over thousands of years and thousands of lifetimes. And now, Hikari supposes, she better get ready for a new name.

Hikari has the ability to remember all of her past lives like they were memories from her current life. It’s an ability that’s connected to Hikari's soul itself as it has haunted her through the ages. And in every lifetime for the last three hundred years she has died young. Murdered again and again. Writing Chat/Update

hello fellow writers, readers and people who like to stalk the internet at 10:00 o'clock at night.

I have not posted in what feels like forever, but I am proud to say that I have many things to talk about, and updates for in the future. So I'll have to make this a quick post, just to give you guys a taste of what I'm writing currently.

SO, currently I've decided to torture myself and write about several projects, one of which are two novels. One I have decided to call Divine Blood, and the other I am still debating but I think that I will call it (Little) Peace Offerings.

Both projects I am very exited for, and as a discovery writer, I am crunching through each one with the flashlight/headlight/vague image method.

so to clarify, I don't really know what I'm about to write, but when writing it, I can understand what happens next. (I don't know if that makes any sense but I tried)

Another two projects I have decided to invest my time in are short story collections, both are still being written and not anywhere close to the editing phase, but at this current time I've been waiting for another random fleeting image that somehow forms into a short story. The first is called: Chimes of the Dead, the other is called (for the time being) We Girls are Monsters.

(I hope that I cam make a post that will expand a bit more on the title of the second collection and how I personally feel about it, but for now I just have to say that I don't like the way that the title is so gendered, and wish that my brain could work to find another that is more inclusive but still includes the general themes of the book)

And the last, things that I'm working on is an untitled comic that is something more lenient, that I doubt I will edit or even work on heavily, but am still enjoying the process for. As well as Rules of Falling Asleep in A Bathtub, a poetry collection that I have posted about and will leave a link to here

anyways, readers, writers and scrollers, I hope that you all have wonderful days, and that you at least get a couple of hours (at least 2-8) of sleep, so that you wake up slightly energized.

(I will be answering the tag as my character, Reed)

1. What is your full name?

Well, my first name’s Reed. I’ve taken “Eavey” as a second name (so I can register for the games)  but I don’t really know if I have any other names. 

2. Are you named after anyone?

Not that I’m aware of. 

3. Do you have any siblings?

These are all very interesting questions but not the kind you’d ask a street thief if you want to get a straight answer. 

4.  Do you have/want kids? 

Honestly, I’m just trying not to get arrested here. But to answer the question, I don’t know. 

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? 

On the occasion, mostly under stress or in a situation where it’s totally inappropriate.

6. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Weak spots. The way they walk. Whether or not they move through the streets like someone’s following them. 

7. What color are your eyes?

Green. Like the green that someone would seek to point out when they’re observing you. That kind of green. 

8. Happy or scary movie?

Uhhhhh..... Probably happy. I’d like to have perfect life, even if it’s secondhand. 

9. Any special talents?

I can walk through a crowd and pickpocket the wealthier ones and walk past the market sentries and not get caught, and I suppose I’m not terrible with my fists or a sword... (Spoiler, he’s great with a sword, and low-key has magical powers) 

10. Where were you born?

I don’t know where I was born, just that someone left me in [big city that I haven’t thought of a name for because I’m THAT GREAT at worldbuilding] and I’ve been here ever since.

11. Do you have any pets?

I have a shy friend named Biann, if that counts.  

12. What sports do you/have you played?

I don’t do the “sports”, though I am currently trying to enroll in the Game of Thieves. 

13. How tall are you? 

About 5′5″ or so... give or take a couple inches. 

14. Favorite subject in school?

I never really went to school... Though I’d say my favorite thing to learn about through books is the legends about old kings and dying gods. 

15. Dream job?

*Laughs* Probably something that provided financial stability beyond stealing people’s money for a living.
