So funny story. One day, at the height of this songs popularity, my classmates and I were hogging the mirror in the bathroom after recess to apply makeup (no I was not allowed to wear makeup in junior high but whaddayagonnado) when we should have been headed back to class and our teacher came looking for us. We all had this song stuck in our heads so we were all singing it and while I was in the middle of refreshing the perfect mountain bang with the can of aquanet we all shared I heard Ms. Haber yell "What you NEED to do is get your little kittie cats out of this bathroom and back to class!" 👀 (this was before teachers could get fired for saying shit like that) It was the corniest thing any of us had ever heard and we laughed in her face all the way back to homeroom.
