Went to the Wrong Cat died to see if there was anything for the North Shore theater production that I'm seeing tonight (there's not) and I have two things to say:
I hate that he does "from the vault". That's the most pointless thing a podcast with easy to find episodes can do. What is even the point?
The man has not interviewed a Bombalurina or a Demeter in over 2 years, what is wrong with him!?
Sydney James Harcourt (who portrays Rum Tum Tugger) when asked about what relationships were the actors embracing into the show that the audience may not notice stated:
He says that “Bomb has a thing for Rum Tum Tugger that didn’t go well and then subsequently Demeter is interested and Bomb is not for that.” He goes on to list instances of Tugger participating in different categories or is off to the side and how Demeter would come over and they’d kiki (chat) and Bombalurina was absolutely not having it and would grab Demeter and pull her away.
He thinks as Bombalurina- “Rum Tum Tugger’s not allowed to be friends with us.”
Direct quote can be found in the full podcast episode:
On the topic of WCD, I noticed the biggest like difference between the actors of cats and the fandoms interpretation of Deuteronomy Brothers is that Macavity is never the oldest for them. He’s commonly described as the youngest of the three but sometimes the middle. Never the oldest.
