I think ppl forget just how close Sev and Lily were, so in spite of this, I enjoy the idea of them being much closer than in canon. Like they’ve known each other for years before hogwarts dude, They are genuinely so comfortable with each other that she could be butt ass naked in front of him and the only thing he would say is “hey, I think you forgot something”
Absolutely no boundaries with each other, and this could be romantic or platonic snily! Doing shit like being in the bathroom to talk while one is taking a shit and the other is taking a shower, stealing each others clothing, farting on each other, leaning all their weight and carrying eachother, these guys don’t mind. I wouldn’t be shocked if Lily could use a straw to drink Soda out of sevs mouth and he’s absolutely un phased.
That’s also why he thinks James having a crush on Lily is hilarious and stupid. I mean, he understands why, lily is a very pretty and sweet girl, but he’s seen this girl pick her boogers and eat it nobody understands her like he does. He loves her for her and knowing all about her, others love her bc she’s pretty smart when she’s more than that!
I also really like batshit insane lily that mellowed out over the years to conform but Sev still remembers her when she was telling him they should light stuff up on fire (she still does when they were alone but that’s rare). Which he always agreed to.
And also, petunia was an ass and the two did not like each other at all but she was so used to his presence in their home that she just sighs loudly when he’s there and they sometimes will be friendly-ish with each other, but ofc fight the next minute.
During their first year ppl didn’t know if he was queer and that they are just friends or if the two were dating, making James think more about bullying him for being around Lily. bc he’s not bullying sev for being gay but what if ppl take it that way, Remus is his best friend he would not want that image of himself. He’s down with the gays man he just really hates poor ppl for some reason
