“Wrong Tree” is one of the most powerful and poignant songs on the list this year. Within, Josiah Wise uses hand claps, church organs, and a variety of theatrical voices to convey feelings of confusion and loss that he experienced while trying to get closer to a person who just wasn't right for him. These voices float and lurch all around us, alternating between Josiah's desperate ramblings and the object of his affection's sweet but stern warnings to stay away before things ultimately boil over into a cacophony of anguish and despair.

Best Moment: The final climb starting at 2:49 where Josiah's pain becomes even more pronounced and eventually devolves into a puddle of moans and groans.

Cheryl’s best friend and possible lesbian lover Kim is pregnant so it’s entirely likely that Cheryl’s mum who’s been papped with Kim many times over the year is buying her pressies whilst Cheryl benefits from the implication that she herself is pregnant in an attempt to further the narrative that she’s sleeping with a guy she met when he was 14 and she was 25. 

Larry is still real. 

It’s not meant to mean anything because this band started in hell and ascended through the crust of the earth to ruin all of our lives.
