Double Trouble killed a scary spider that was chasing Kadroh and was caught off-guard by his hug. This is honestly not something I expected out of this fandom, but at this point, I'm not complaining!

me: *Imagining how cute would have been if Double Trouble and Wrong Hordak meet in the show*
me: *starts shipping it*
Also me: Wow, I truly need some fanfics and quality content out of this headcanon.
Ao3:
Double Trouble gives Hordak a makeover after the Fall of Prime, to help him regain as much of his outward individuality as Hordak wants to. They consider it payment, actually, because standard-clone Hordak is just a pain to look at when they remember how unintentionally fabulous he used to be. Giving him that makeover is a pleasure. Hordak is letting them do it as a favour, actually—they enjoy it far more than he does.
Kadroh is present. He watches silently as DT meticulously dyes Hordak's hair back to his trademark navy blue. He is enthralled by the process, and it does not escape Double Trouble's notice.
They grin at him. "Want me to do you as well, cutie pie?" they ask.
Kadroh is flustered and shifts uncomfortably. He does not answer but he's trying to, making a few non-committal noises along the way.
"It doesn't have to be the same colour," Hordak tells him, eyes closed. He's secretly begun to consider the whole process quite pleasant. DT is good at what they're doing and it feels comfortable, but he won't tell them. They'll ask for payment if he does, he's sure, and he currently has nothing to his name. "It can be something less extreme, if you'd prefer."
"Or more extreme," Double Trouble adds. "Like bright red or pink. Multi-colour. Whatever you like."
"Less extreme," Kadroh says quickly, quietly. He hums. "It's... It's not something..."
Double Trouble nods. They understand. "A light colour then, maybe. Do you have any preferences?"
Kadroh hesitates, thinks about it. He looks at DT and says: "I... I like your hair."
"Oh?" They grin again, but only to hide the far more genuine smile that they could not catch in time. "Blond, hm? It might suit you. A lighter blond would not be a huge step away from what you have now, it could be a good start if nothing else. Would you like that?"
Their heart skips a beat when Kadroh's ears perk up and his eyes seem to sparkle. Oh, heavens, that pure, innocent joy is simply adorable. "Yes please!" Oh, oh no. That tone, that careful delight, almost like he's asking for permission to be excited about this.
Double Trouble averts their gaze, focusing on their work on Hordak's hair before they slip up and dye his scalp. "Good," they say, trying to keep their voice even. They rarely struggle with that. "I'll get right to it when I'm done with your brother, all right, cutie?"
Shoot. They need a new petname for the clone if they want to avoid making this awkward.
Then again, maybe the cutie likes the petname and it does not have to become awkward at all.
They hide their blush when they wonder privately if Kadroh would ever use a petname for them.
