this wasn’t her intentionally trying to be rude or whatever but being around danny for a long amount of time drained all the energy out of dohee. it’s why she was practically hiding at this point once she spotted the blue.m members make their way to the event. she could last through a short five minute conversation at the most before she had to excuse herself to recharge. 

plus, it was like he always caught her when she was already running low on her energy. she had a public persona—she can practically hear the voice in the back of her head nagging her, saying it’s her fault—that required most of her energy and so whenever she was backstage or behind the scenes, she didn’t want to live up to it. however, that didn’t seem to work around danny. he was like an overly excited golden retriever who craved her attention every second of the day, and she couldn’t possibly deal with that today. nor ever really. 

she’s probably not doing the best job with her hiding spot, but she’s hoping that it’s enough. she’s already socialized too much for her own good, and she didn’t want to put up with his enthusiastic attitude. maybe some other day when she was more charged but not now.

He wasn’t sure what had been more shocking: seeing ( @wsdaniel ) on the other side of the barrier, or being chosen for the team he had secretly auditioned for behind his manager’s back. He remained unscathed at least for now. His accomplice, known as Phoenix’s Junior Manager, was the one that was sent to stand by the corner and report back his every move on set. He didn’t plan on misbehaving or fooling around, but he had been paired with Danny and being on his best behavior was asking a lot from him. 

He occasionally glimpsed over at his manager, tilted his head and flashed a bright smile in his direction. Sometimes, the key to his survival was relying on pure charm. He currently sat on the floor during one of their several breaks, which were given primarily for the staff shooting their segment. He had a suspicion that the cameras were still rolling, and angled perfectly in their direction. 

Unsurprisingly, Danny had taken the lead for their cover mission. Jae-in had eagerly followed his instructions for about three hours until his motivation took a nose dive, and he had no desire to practice the song any longer. It was rare when Danny and him argued about anything, but he thought arguing would be better than the uncomfortable silence that had settled between his friend and him. 

It was a glimpse of how their daily lives would have been had the two debuted together. He was committed to giving a great performance, but he believed his friend had taken too much responsibility on when the practice room was booked for the rest of the night. It doesn’t have to be perfect from the get-go, he had mumbled under his breath several times. 

“Hey, hey.” He gently prods him on the side before embracing him loosely around the shoulders with one of his arm, staring at his friend’s reflection in the mirror. “Do you want anything from the vending machine? A drink? A snack? A smile?” He reaches up with his free hand to lift one of the corners of Danny’s mouth with his index finger.

boring. breaks were boring. there was nothing to do! he’d burnt himself out on video games, bitna was busy with her own schedule, and all he had were his members and twitter. it wasn’t enough! he was bored.

sunghoon let out a huff before rolling over and clamoring out of his bed, where he had been laying on his phone for the past two hours. some of the members were home and it was getting a bit late out, the sun having just gone down a little bit ago. he needed something fun.

walking into the living room, his eyes zeroed in on the target that will bring him fun. danny. they were chaotic together and always had fun, so of course danny would like to hang out, right?

“hyung!” sunghoon whined rather loudly, shuffling over and collapsing on the older with his entire body weight, arms wrapping around him like a squid would it’s prey. “hyung, i’m bored. hang out with me. let’s go do something.” sunghoon shifted just enough to cast a cute pout at the other, maknae eyes turned to 100%.

“you’ll hang out with me, right?”

a forefinger comes to tap against the glass of some unknown creature, a squint forming with subtlety across his features as his back straightens, turning back to danny— already feeling the mischief clear in his veins. the other spoke about feeling something along the lines of despair over his cat, parker suggested they stop by the pet store to find some sort of replacement to fill the pit of despair that grows increasingly by the day. 

he contemplates on whether or not he should get another puppy, maybe even consider a snake or a spider to his family of two. surely pyro wouldn’t mind. “i don’t know anything about cats.” he confesses, shoulders shrugging as he resumes his glass tapping against another pane. this time, one with a furry eight legged tarantula. “this one looks exciting. you should get this instead of your boring cat.” turning back to danny for a moment, before allowing his gaze to settle on the majestic creature encased before him. reverie fills with the thoughts of whether or not pyro would end up eating the arachnid before it could settle in safely in his home. “the more legs, the more fun and this one has double the legs of a cat.

he was a cat person, if it hadn’t been obvious to begin with. he finds that they sound too similar to crying babies in the middle of night, a haunting feeling that sends his stiff spine into shivers. features contort to disgust at the thought alone, only getting distracted as his periphery catches the glare of an odd looking cat. “hey, you should get this one.” nodding towards the cat enclosure with a sphinx sitting atop the cat tower. “looks like a rat— a naked rat.” couldn’t help the way his corners curved up into slight laughter, unable to suppress the childish tendency to chortle at the poor cat.

      looking rather pleased with himself, hands resting with purpose on either side of his hips, chin tilting upwardly, a gesture of triumph. having pulled all the stops for the start of the festive season, “behold, a christmas themed golf cart.” 

     he had always wanted to attempt to do at least a few donuts in his lifetime, and it was suggested that doing so on a full sized vehicle would be more dangerous than what it was worth. he supposes, that the next best thing to do, would be to attempt those donuts on a smaller scale golf cart. would it be as dangerous? perhaps. would it still have the same risks and consequences? absolutely. but was he going to reconsider? absolutely not. instead, he was going to rope in danny. someone he figured shared the same passion for shenanigans as himself.

     “well, they’re not christmas themed yet... but we can always decorate them to fit the festive season.” he was thinking of ripping some of the fresh decoration put up around the yuseong building or even to take them from the drama set they’re both present at to decorate the golf cart. it wouldn’t hurt to live on the edge of criminal activity, theft was not as bad as murder.

     “here, you test drive it.” tossing the key towards the other, “just make sure you don’t kill us.” climbing onto the passenger side of the cart, he figures sitting at the back would present more unhealthy consequences. the urge to suddenly jump off from the cart going at high speeds would at least increase by seventy percent. this was the result of being left unsupervised by the real adults. “i only just had a mini album released, i can’t die just yet.”

2016, School of Performing Arts.

Daniel Choi, the effervescent new face around school, scurried past him with three drinks in hand. The way his feet moved, he had to be in a rush. Lately, that seemed to be all too common for him, so much so that Seojin's suspicions grew by the day. 

He was assigned to look after and show him around the school ( not by choice ) so it would have been wrong of him to simply drop the metaphorical contract. The other was far too naive and optimistic for him to let that happen. There were occasions he cursed himself for having taken those English classes. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have found himself in this mess ㅡ looking after a guy who started to cling to him because Seojin showed him a glimpse of kindness. Truly, Danny was lucky that he had an endearing quality about him that allowed him to worm his way into his heart. Not that he would ever admit that.

"Hey. New kid, what are you doing?"

Seojin stepped in front of him, stopping the bee line with a hand to Danny's chest. His eyes flickered downward to the drinks in his hand. Contrary to popular belief, Seojin caught on faster than one would think. He may be nothing more than a class clown but there was something noticeably familiar about this stand-off.

In a brazen gesture, he reached forward to grab one of the drinks from his hands ㅡ without warning. One of the candy bars tucked behind it fell to the floor in the process. His eyes scanned over the flavor of the tea and he was quick to twist his face into a grimace. Mixed berry, possibly 50 grams of sugar in one small bottle. Regardless, he kept it with him, tossing it in the air once in a while to play catch with himself.

"What do you need three drinks for? You must be real thirsty."

when it came to yuseong’s newest boy group, blue.m, the boys somewhat reminded him of the time where he two was just starting out. always practicing hard because the thought of now giving more than the full hundred was unacceptable. the nervousness of seeing groups whom been in the industry long before him, the sensation of growing fans and debut. those feelings were that he missed only in small spurts. for phoenix’s beginnings were considered the ideal for newcoming groups.

but each member held their heads high despite the hardships that they faced which is why he felt that his team was such a strong contender to the competition. as for blue.m, they were the complete opposite of what phoenix or cresent could be. one’s who showed a more cuter side, bright and cheerful expressions filled the cameras enough to make taeyang cringe yet form a smile due to a swelling sense of him being proud. also a feeling of joy that he was fortunate enough now to debut with the said group. aegyo wasn’t his strong point and how the other’s within the said younger group was beyond him. 

but he approaches one of the younger male’s, daniel or his stage name he goes by, danny. taeyang could always breathe out some sort of relief when he finds that there’s other people who speaks english. solely because its easier for him to understand as his korean was getting better but he knew he still had a lot to learn. 

“blue.m don’t have schedules this week? you guys seem busier than all the other groups these days.” he started, a small laugh following after. not to say it was all shocking to see busier groups have off time , but that was mostly seen in older groups.
