Ruesha Littlejohn your future is in the WWE. listen to me, Ruesha. think of the money.
hi! i’m a new woso fan after this summer’s euros (i live in england so it was obviously a good tournament from my perspective at least), however i have a bit of a dilemma so i’m asking as many woso fans as possible on here to get some different perspectives - i got VERY into the WSL very quickly, and it’s one of those interests i don’t see fading any time soon so i want to take it seriously, so i want to support a team. i’ve never been into men’s football like at all i genuinely could not care less, however my local team that my family genuinely rides or dies for (not gonna say who cause it’s kinda doxxing myself) play in WSL2 on the women’s side, and idk where to watch them, so i wanted a WSL team to support. the issue comes with my dad😭like i said he’s very ride or die with the team from my city, so all of my expressed interest in literally anything else has jokes about me being disowned already (bit late i’m over 18 but whatever). all of my fav players from the euro’s play for the same team so it’s kind of a clear answer, and they played well in their first game of the season so it’s just pushing me more, but like i said i wanna fully support, so i wanna buy the kit’s and go to games, which i don’t think would go over well with my family😬i don’t live at home so i could always keep it a secret, but also this team is nowhere near me so if i travel for games/wanna post about it on socials/anything like that it’s gonna get picked up on quick, as well as the fact that i don’t rlly have any WOSO friends so idk who id even go WITH😭any advice?
Hello my lovely
First off: OMG YEYYYYY I’m so glad ur getting into (women’s) football
Ok in terms of supporting teams:
Go with geography. Absolutely support ur championship team. Grow the game. Turn up if u can and really support them - maybe even go with ur dad?
For a wsl team - I don’t have an issue with someone supporting a second team that much - so long as u have a ride or die and u support them above others. (E.g., I am die hard Arsenal but I watch the Barça games and the Bayern games too but Arsenal for the win. Honestly I watch any football regardless but hey ho. I did get it to those teams because of players - Walsh and Bronze and Stanway respectively) I would say what happens if ur championship team gets promoted? I would also say ur WSL team should be geography based as well. Speaking as an Arsenal fan: do not be an Arsenal fan that is from e.g. Newcastle just because u like the players.
So if ur in Newcastle, support Newcastle but if u want a WSL team one of the manchesters? Or Liverpool or Everton?
My dads a red scouser and my mums a blue and they’re so mad I support Arsenal loll (before anyone accuses me: it is my local team)
Buy those jerseys girl - I have 2 arsenal and 2 Bayern shirts: just buy em loll
But quite honestly at the end of the day: you do you. It’s a free world and it’s not that deep - it is only 22 people kicking a ball around.
Please come back and discuss if u want to id love to get to know more anons etc
I've seen enough tonight...
It turns out Blackburn received a substantial approach to invest in their women's team last year but turned it down..
Blackburn Rovers investment news 🚨
EFL Analysis understands that Steve Waggott held talks with a specialist women’s football investment group last season about a potential deal that would have seen them acquire equity in the women’s team.
However, sources directly involved in the discussions say that the Venky’s vetoed it due to fears that external investment in the women’s but not the men’s team could spark a backlash among fans.
So they get to suffer instead, brilliant..
But no, this logo is for a women's football league.

Bees and Brighton Draw Spring Series Opener | 11.02.2017
London Bees drew 1-1 with WSL newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion in the opening game of the Spring Series.
Saturday 11th February FA WSL 2 SPRING SERIES London Bees 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion (Attendance: 703)
Brighton's first ever WSL fixture saw them lead London Bees at the break through an Alessia Russo effort but Ashleigh Goodard equalised for the hosts to earn a draw in front of over 700 fans at The Hive.
Jo Wilson might have given London Bees an early lead after rounding Emma Byrne but her shot was cleared off the line by Jenna Legg.
With 14 minutes played, Russo fired a powerful shot into the top corner after cutting in and beating two defenders.
Kate Natkiel should have doubled the lead when put through one-on-one but a great save by Shayla Burgess denied her.
Byrne kept Albion ahead when turning Lucy Loomes' powerful strike out for a corner but the Bees continued to battle back after the interval, culminating in Goddard turning in a Paula Howells cross to the back post on 55 minutes.
The Bees pressed as Wilson shot narrowly over and then Evie Clarke was close to beating Byrne on her near post.
Albion then threatened at the end as a Russo penalty claim was waved away and Natkiel's effort at the death was saved by Burgess.
