wait. apparently Emma Navarro pulled out from her alternate spot at the Finals, which leaves Dasha as 1st alternate (if she... chooses to go, considering where it's at), and, by race ranking position, Danielle Collins as the 2nd.
Alas, Danielle hasn't been playing at all lately, so chances are she wouldn't go, and next in line is... Badosa.
However, Badosa retired from her last match with an injury + she's technically playing BJKC on the 13th (against... Iga, apparently, which is so funny to me.) Which leads us to... Kalinskaya as 2nd alternate?
And if Dasha chose not to go, Kalinskaya, currently #14 in the race, would be 1st alternate, and 2nd spot would go to... Shnaider. Long story short, this is a mess.
