in the year ????, the members of ??? corp wanted to bring back the ancient species destructor mundorum, so they could destroy the universe and start anew. using dna they had, they mixed it with brunto burt dna without thinking too hard about it and started to grow this life form. its name was to be M.A.R.X., which stood for:
m - malevolent
a - and
r - rough
x - xterminator
unfortunately, the lifeform ended up being defected - no arms. so, now they just basically had this baby laying around they had to take care of. because of the defect, it’s no surprise they didn’t bother looking for it once it escaped at 3 years old. they could always try again.
(this part is wip there’s plot holes i need to fill!!) marx winds up on a whole new planet, where he is found and taken in by a kind lady who becomes his mother of sorts. this is until he turns about 8 years old where, because he is completely unaware of how powerful he is, ends up creating a portal to another dimension. he gets sucked and boom! marx is in hell! he meets magolor here (THIS IS BEFORE RTDL. THIS IS FROM ANOTHER SITUATION WHERE MAGS ENDED UP AD.) and manages to get out after a few months. where does he end up?? popstar ofc!!
he spends once again a few years in popstar. he finds out about nova and after doing some research and finding out it can grant any wish you want, decides he wants to what he did in mww.
time to add some more stuff about him here woo hoo!! so. to cut to the chase. marx and galacta are the same species. galacta is a subspecies of whatever kirby is, which is different in the sense that their purpose is to cause chaos and destruction. however, they don’t get this urge until after they have left their childhood. with galacta, this urge came in much slower. (i hc that he was locked away at some point in his late 20s tbh, but maybe i need to check up on kirby lore for this) with marx, this urge comes in much, MUCH earlier but i will elaborate on this later. what you need to know for now is that for now marx doesn’t actually crave killing anyone. as mentioned in kssu he just wants to cause mischief/chaos. (so yes, this technically means the whole reason mww happened is basically bc he thought it would be “mad funny”.) the chaos causing timeline of a destructor mundorum basically goes like
innocent and can do no wrong ➡️ causing mischief is pretty fun actually ➡️ it would be really cool if people got hurt➡️ i need to kill people so fucking bad vro. ➡️ DESTROY EVERYTHING.
marx was in stage 2 when mww happened, stage 3 in current kirby timeline.
so anyways. he gets punted into nova. and of course, for the plot, he gets…
AMNESIA!!!!!!
so he forgets basically everything before another dimension and can remember littleeee snippets of his life with that lady but they’re really fuzzy.
marx is 11 during the events of mww, and in current timeline kirby he is 14. he doesn’t remember this though and bc of the amnesia and only has a rough idea abt how old he is so he just keeps on switching between 13 and 14 when people ask so. this means all of the mainline kirby games happened in the span of abouttt 3 years which seems believable enough to me if you put into perspective that it’s likely each game took anywhere between 2 weeks to a month from start to finish for each one, except for katfl which probably took longer then that.
some extra little things
marx’s craving for chaos is once again, entirely due to his species, and not because he is actively thinking hard about doing it, if that makes sense. not to say he’s innocent, but pin put it really well - destruction is his PURPOSE, not his desire. ykyk????
whenever marx tries to think about his life before another dimension he gets an absolutely horrendous SHAAAARP pain in his head. so he can’t really think about allat…
this isn’t only for wuacs but it will be canon in wuacs.
marx is very quickly getting worse in his craving for destruction unfortunately. with galacta knight it was very gradual but with marx it is happening unnaturally quick. it took galacta knight until his mid 20s to even get to stage 3 so the fact that marx is at stage 3 at just 14 is kinda concerning.
marx being part brunto burt is the reason why he has no arms, as well as why his eyes look like that.
adding on to the wuacs stuff, the concept of hugo and starman having to seal away marx as adults because he ends up gets too bad but being unable to bear the thought of killing him because that’s their best friend. 😊 (i don’t plan to add this but it would be really funny right guys) (update. guess who ended up making this canon in the au after story LMAOOO)
okay. im done. MASSIVE thanks to @pingrape for letting me scream to them about my marx lore, and also inspiring me to put the galacta thing unintentionally because i was actually originally only gonna do him being an ancient species revival but then i was writing a message that said “hugo when the random 13 or 14 year old (he doesn’t know) he befriended on accident is a probably gonna grow up to be a destroyer of worlds like galacta knight” and before i could even finish the word galacta i had the most amazing epiphany. they also inspired the brunto burt part because we were talking abt the noddy marx stuff and how i didn’t exactly agree (sorry marx-is-a-noddy truthers. heademptysimirror you make a really good point so you get a pass, as well as my friend lavender shout out to lav please check out their au too.) and they brought up how there’s other armless kirby enemies, like brunto burt. and then i started thinking “waittttt him being part brunto burt would make so much sense actually” so shout out to them.
