Awooo, welcome to Wuff's place. Wuff is a 31 yr old therian (wolf and dog theriotypes) who uses wuff/they/it pronouns. They are currently healing from a seven year long abusive relationship and made this space to reconnect with the part of them that was forced to be caged for so long.

Wuff loves nature. Wuff loves art. Wuff loves seeing their theriotypes. Wuff will reblog these things, often. As wuff tends to use tumblr in sporadic bursts, they queue their posts to twice a day. You can sort of tell when wuff has been active based on what they have tagged.

Important:

Wuff is an adult, like definitely an adult. They won't chase off pups as this space isn't curated to be adults only, but they'd be more comfortable if minors didn't hang around.

Wuff doesn't have a dni necessarily, but will block/remove anyone from their space they don't feel comfortable with.

Wuff knows what it is, and has known what it is before it even had the human words for it. It's parents recognized it and tried to domesticate it. But what is in wuff's heart is stronger than even wuff cares it to be sometimes. It is wuff, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Forever searching for paradise

Wuff had a thought while enjoying some outside time today… (vent-ish)

…they wondered if their inability to ever fit in with a friend group stems from their innate canine-ness. Wuff always behaved weird in school, often drove people away with their strange behaviors. Wuff satisfied their need for attention by performing ‘tricks’ for classmates and obeying when ordered around. It never learned how to socialize properly. Even its gender is weird. Wuff doesn’t fit in with the girls but also isn’t one of the boys. Wuff has had plenty of friends throughout its life, but never felt like it’s had a true pack. Plenty of packs have welcomed wuff in, but wuff usually feels like it doesn’t fit in and ends up moving on. Wuff had accepted its loner lot in life, but lately something deep in wuff has been crying out for a pack. It feels selfish, craving support and comfort, when wuff is the one who pulls away in most relationships. It feels like such a burden on its friends when it needs to vent, it usually ghosts and withdraws. And that’s the last way to form strong relationships. But it doesn’t know how to socialize any differently. It doesn’t know where it fits in. And that’s why wuff has accepted its place. Always a second thought and always a tag along, but also always unpredictable and always uncomfortable.

Didn’t think wuff would end up crying at work today cause it got yelled at on the phone, but here wuff is. From ear tip to tail tip everything feels bad now, rest of shift/day is going to be rough

Vent below the cut

Wuff had a really bad brain day today - woke up feeling off and realized they had missed their emdr apt. Since wuff had skipped work the day before they made themself go today. Drive is an hour and all wuff could think about was how done with life wuff is, how tiring every thing is, how overwhelming every thing is, how wuff has been in treatment for its depression and anxieties and panic disorder and ptsd’s for so so long now, it’s been over ten years of therapies and programs and medications…but it hasn’t gotten better, nothing has gotten better, and the heaviness and pain of it all weigh so heavily on wuff. It doesn’t feel like life is worth continuing. Why keep pushing on when the crashing waves always pull it back down. Weight of the water drenching its pelt dragging it further down. Arms and legs too weird and wrong to swim properly.

Then wuff got to work. Skipped phone-in psych apt. Called and canceled all upcoming mental health apts. Left work after two hours because wuff just couldn’t. Drive home filled with bad thoughts again - mostly of the suicidal variety. More why try, keep trying, so much trying. Wuff is already so tired without all the trying. It doesn’t have any reason to stay alive, really. It realized it’s only reason for not killing itself is cause of other people. Nothing in its own soul wants to stay alive, its soul is so tired and bruised and done with this current form. Something deep down screams to it that death will be a good thing for its soul. Home. Curled into its nest, slept uneasy for seven hours.

Still here, not sure it wants to stay here, but here for now. Mental illness is rough.
