I legit do not understand why this is a talking point with anti-choice people like

i mean as a representation of Canada i think it would be super neat because i am half-and-half and my dad’s Irish/Ukrainian/Icelandic and my mother Cree and that’s a lot of Canada right there but if i did this i’d want to put some serious work into this cosplay???  but i also left most of my cosplay stuff up at my place in Ed. because i didn’t think i’d need them, so i left my beaded moccasins and my skirts and my stuff polar bear and my contacts and some of my beaded jewellery and i don’t want to go back up.

the interesting thing about the Cree was that many of them kind of halfway adapted some European forms of dress so literally if i just had my skirts and maybe got a beaded vest or something and wore my moccasins like that could potentially be a really fucking neat cosplay.  i could ask my mum if i could sew up the soles of her mukluks too (hers have pahkekinweskisin nipihkan on them) and hnnngh it could be such a neat cosplay but i) would people know what i was trying to do ii) would i even be able to pull it off

you could do hungary? idk if you know how to sew, nor how hard pressed for time you are or if she has any easy outfits (i did 7 years war hungary and that was easy-ish, it’s just a modified jacket pattern + black pants)

ah yeah true!  i wouldn’t have to wear a wig for that one either.  i’m not very good at sewing (once two years ago i made a skirt and that was it) but i am good at finding things in value village

Yeah, its weird Conservatives act completely on hypotheticals. That there are knife wielding terrorists on every street. And its worse because the actions this government makes on the world stage encourages terrorism against Canada. Its ridiculous pushing C-51 to make us ‘safer’ while at the same time Harper declares war on Jihad, which is not making us safer.

Adding onto this in order for the RCMP to investigate this mostly hypothetical threat they’re pulling hundreds of cops from organized crime. Organized crime kills hundreds of times more Canadians than terrorism (just look at the gang wars in Surrey and around Vancouver).
