Nach einiger Zeit konnten wir den ersten Wurmtee ernten und können damit nun unsere Pflanzen düngen.
My worm bin (Vermiculture) This week I sat up my worm compost bin. I’m very excited to see how it is going to work out! I’ve learned about this indoors composting option from a great social media influencer and got immediately very curious how this could work in our home. It’s a great way to reduce our kitchen waste and turn it into nutrition dense plant soil. I’m a complete newbie to the process but would like to share my experiences, challenges and success with you during this exciting journey. For those who are unfamiliar with this composting method, worm composting is using worms to recycle food scraps and other organic material into a compost (vermicompost). The worms eat food scraps, which become compost as they pass through the worm's body. For this the species Eisenia hortensis / Dendrobena veneta or commonly called red worms are used. The process happens in a closed ecosystem – which is the wooden box in my case – and claimed to be completely free of smells and other issues if done correctly. I have ordered a suitable wooden container and a starter kit to set up my worm farm. Now after the stress of transportation my worms are comfy in their new home and received their first bit of kitchen waste to work on 😊 Thank you for the inspiration and tips @zerowaste_munster ! #worms #compost #composter #composting #vermicompost #wormfarm #wormbin #vermiculture #kitchewaste #eiseniahortensis #dendrobenaveneta #wurmkompost #wurmkiste #ecosystem #redworm #greenomlet #proud #makeithabit #sustainability #nowaste #zerowaste #reuse #nowaste #reduce #minimalist #müllfrei #gogreen #nachhaltig #waronwaste #eco #ecowar #öko (at Duisburg)
