I saw a clip from SmackDown comparing the crowd reactions, and it speaks volumes.
During Cody’s segment, the crowd is chanting for Drew. During Randy’s segment with Drew, the crowd is chanting RKO.
I really hope Triple H finally starts using his brain to appreciate and value Randy Orton while he is still here. Honestly, seeing this reaction makes me worried that WWE will refuse to give us a proper Cody vs. Randy feud, because they are terrified.
We already saw a glimpse of this last year at Night of Champions. Remember? The crowd booed Cody every time he hit Randy, and cheered when Randy hit him back. It is actually hilarious that their “QB1”, the supposed face of the company, cannot hold the crowd’s support when he stands next to The Viper.
I don’t hate Cody (even though his last title reign was absolutely terrible), but facts are facts. If you put him against Orton, Cody is getting booed out of the building. And I think Triple H knows that, so he keeps holding Randy back to protect his golden boy.
