T hey catch each other's eyes briefly, and John shoots Gale a grateful little smile.

A thousand different thoughts and actions flicker through Gale’s brain, but it takes all of two seconds for his mind to just land on fuck it, and he pushes himself off the dresser and crosses the scant few feet to the other man.  Without any further thought, he grabs a handful of Bucky’s t-shirt and uses it to yank him forward. Gale only has a brief moment to appreciate the surprise on his face before their lips are meeting in a bruising kiss.

R easonably, he knows that there are technically no right or wrong answers; Unreasonably, deep down in his soul he wants to do well, which means answering them correctly.
