I remember you're mentioned that you took partial inspirations from some historical figures (or fictional, yet popular ones) to create your OCs and that each charater is partially based on a few famous people. But idk if i remember correctly...
Still, could you tell something more about these your references?
Thanks for your ask, I can't list every influential figure for every character but I'll try a few. Vincent Odinkirk's aggressive and depressive personality traits are similar to wwii period Erwin Rommel. Also see Captain Crozier from The Terror for a depressed, alcoholic boss with reverse-classism feelings. I'm not sure Vincent is Alcoholic but don't take his schnaps away from him for now, he definitely uses it as a coping mechanism. Vincent also has some similarities to Manfred von Richthofen; cool and calculating in warfare, loves animals. Napoleon Bonaparte (Marlon Brando's portrayal especially), Beowulf, Achilles and Augustus Caesar were also influences. Karl Kuerner, a subject of the painter Andrew Wyeth. J. Wolfgang von Goethe's love-driven male protagonists. All versions of Hamlet have influenced Vincent but particularly Lawrence Olivier's, Lawrence Olivier's other roles and his appearance were influential. Bob Shaw, his war film roles particularly, also influenced Vincent's appearance and mannerisms; see how his character in The Battle of The Bulge 1965, slips his thumb into his belt. Siegfried Isenstein takes some inspiration from the younger wwi Rommel but with less angst, and from Johann von Ravenstein, Rommel's dandy subordinate during wwii. Edward 8th and Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia (Bill 2's son) were also strong influences. Robert Hoffman's portrayal of Robinson Crusoe effected Siegfried's appearance and attitude of always having a plan. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Cherubino, Papageno and Perdrello; these characters are coquettish without becoming cads. Mozart himself as portrayed in Amadeus 1984. Richard Wagner's Siegfried. Hermes from Greek Mythology. David Bowie (he was in 2 war films). Mobius's Major Grubert. Saul Goodman; Siegfried makes frequent pop-cultural references but they are rooted in his time period, and applies a similar showmanship, cunning and humor to his commands. The Pink panther; a male character that manages to be simultaneously feminine, mischievous and stoic. And let's not miss out the Kitsune from Pom Poko 1994, I love the sly smiles and delicate yet energetic motions. General von Ravenmark's name is taken from Otto von Bismarck's alius, and Bismarck was also a tall, read headed, eccentric Prussian Aristocrat. Julius Caesar was also an inspiration; the way Ravenmark sees Vincent as a misbegotten son is like Caesar and Brutus. Otto Odinkirk was inspired by Paul Bauma, Guy Saja, Aengus Og from Irish Mythology, Frey/Frej from Germanic mythology. Edwin Vipond was inspired by Peter O Toole's Lawrence of Arabia. Gonna say Captain Jack Sparrow was also an influence. It's difficult to write about Edwin's other inspirations and I think that's because the chief influences are paintings and songs; a wide range but likely John Singer Sergeant's wwi paintings combined with the Scottish folk music of Silly Wizard. Also Saint Michael and Thor (from mythology, not the terrible Marvel comics). I've not named every historical and artistic influence, so if anyone had something in mind I did not mention, you were probably correct.
