Thor woke up and felt like he was going to piss himself if he didn’t move immediately. He groaned and stumbled out of bed and into the hall bathroom. There was almost nothing in the bathroom yet, the boxes still piled high in the living room for him and Loki to unpack and fill their new space.
He finished up and washed his hands and realized they hadn’t even unpacked their damned towels. Thor sighed and wiped his hands on his pajama pants. There was no way he was getting back to sleep now.
Everything was quiet, soft. Loki was asleep in his own room, his door wide open as he sprawled out across his mattress naked as the day he was born.
Soft heat filled Thor’s belly, love and lust in equal measure. He crawled into Loki’s bed and wrapped himself around his brother’s body. The furnace wasn’t very good, but Loki never had issues with the cold anyway. Thor squeezed Loki tight and nuzzled into his hairline. Soft, silky hair tickled his nose, and he smiled at the lingering smell of Loki’s coconut conditioner that Thor absolutely didn’t steal given every opportunity.
Loki stirred, stretched as much as he could in Thor’s arms, then settled. “You have to let me go so I can pee.”
Thor laughed and pressed a kiss to Loki’s shoulder. “I love you, Loki.”
Loki hummed and squeezed Thor’s hand where it had settled over his heart. “I’ll love you back as soon as you let me up.”
Thor released his brother and lay in the green satin sheets with his chest overfull. They did it. They had a place for themselves where they could be themselves.
Finally he could love Loki in peace.
