This wwwip I: -did some progress to Killian and Carey (I couldn't decide if she has Long hair or short hair???) -I drew a character from one of @orcastrife 's stories (I actually did this a bit ago but I wanted to put it here now) -and finally I'm starting a taako and lup (instead of finishing one of my other projects or drawing some hs or something)

In the American Midwest, the Gloaming is just another facet of life. Men duel with magic as much as guns. Mail is delivered on dragonback. A hex finds himself waking up after his gang left him for dead in a ditch outside a little town.

With nothing to his name but the clothes on his back, Harlowe Beck offers to play bodyguard for the man who saved him while out on the road. The salesman is oddly excited about the idea of a hex bodyguard, and introduces himself as James Jameson, but his friends call him Jimmy–and now Harlowe is one of his friends!

However, not all ties between Harlowe and his old gang were cleanly cut…

[The Gloaming is a natural phenomenon that takes the form of a thick darkness covering an area. The ether in the affected areas becomes extremely volatile, warping natural creatures into supernatural ones. Humans are affected by the natural ether in their system "activating"--while this rarely has any adverse effects in adults (the ether automatically "deactivates" when the Gloaming passes, since their aether is done forming), it causes children's ether to go wild, usually harming or even killing them and damaging their surroundings. Children who survive an expetience with the Gloaming have permanently activated ether, and are able to wilfully perform magic.]
