nicest thing ch 19!!!
alright y'all the wyll fix-it is finally becoming a fix-it.
our boy is renegotiating his own contract bc why would he let someone else do that?? and why wouldn't sending mizora back to the hells be a major part of his storyline??
ALSO....
some cute shit.
I swear Wyll misses with Eldritch Blast as much as Shadowheart misses with, well everything.
Thinking about Wyll at 17, raised to live his life in service to the Gate, doing just that, but in a way that wasn't conventional because the circumstances were dire. He was 17 and had no other choice. Had he not taken the deal, his father would have returned to a city destroyed and no son at all.
Thinking about Ulder raising his son for 17 years and still not believing in him enough to trust that Wyll would have only made that choice if there was no other option, that he had to have been coerced because Wyll, where it counts, tries to be someone his father can be proud of.
Thinking about Mizora presenting that deal with a smile on her face, hiding her true colors with the tease of enough power to be the hero he was raised to he, then being the only one Wyll could run to when he was shunned by his father. The wayward son who only strayed because his father rejected him in blind refusal to believe in who Wyll is.
Thinking about if Mizora was able to hold back some of the condescension and be relatively pleasant with Wyll at first. An Other Mother type situation. A tease of the greener grass that was never actually there to begin with. Then the meanness comes out. The biting quips and condescension. The reminders that he is only where he is because of her. He was always just another pet to add to her menagerie, a 17 year old boy who lost his charm as he grew into manhood and remained firm in the ideals passed onto him from the very father who abandoned him.
Thinking of Wyll breaking the pact, becoming the Blade of Avernus while free from Mizora, and still taking time to visit his father so they can repair the relationship that was broken.
the unbreakable love of a son for his father.
Found some good Wyllyams in my edited folder that I don't think I've posted yet so have some good boys <3
