CW- none, maybe violence. Correct me if wrong. I feel like a broken record 😅
Authors Note- Do we like the little SMAu parts? I know some of them are low quality, but it happened when the images got blown up. If anyone has a solution please help a girl out 😭 As always, remember to have a good day and take care of yourself, Lovelies. You are important and you matter more then you may ever know 💙
The class sits there, listening to Aizawa intently as he speaks about the upcoming UA Sports Festival. Of course almost all of the world has heard about it/seen it but it doesn’t hurt to go over what the event will be like. “You will want to prepare,” he tells the class in his usual tired tone, “It is an important event in becoming heroes. This is where you get the most scouts and recruitments. If you wish to have internships or work studies with bigger heroes you will want to do good here.”
He finishes off his lecture and the class is dismissed for lunch. You clean your space up as you see Katsuki make his way over to your desk, a familiar routine. By now the class had built a steady routine that was only temporarily thrown off by the USJ attack. Everyone became pretty friendly as a class very easily partially due to ✨trauma bonding✨, but as so commonly happens, friend groups and cliques still formed, although they were still in the development stages. Yours consisted of Katsuki, Kirishima, and Ashido, although it more often than not also included the loud boy you learned was named Kaminari; the guy with “weird elbows” as Katsuki calls him, Sero; and the calm Jiro who you still don’t understand why she is putting up with everyone's BS, but you’re glad to have her. Your time together has been fun, and you quickly grew to love your classmates and this new setting.
“Are you excited?” You ask Katsuki and the rest of your friends remaining in the room as you stand up and look at them, noting that everyone is ready to leave, or has left, and with Katsuki at your side following Kaminari to the door while the Ashido trails behind, Sero and Jiro already waiting outside of it for the rest of the group.
“I’m excited to win.” He responds with his signature smirk just as your group makes it through the threshold. Cockyness and ego evident in everything he does.
Ashido speaks up from in front of him, a teasing tone lacing her voice. “I don’t know,” she gives him a teasing smile as she draws out the vowel sounds, “I think there are some strong contestants in our ranks.” The blonde turns to glare at her.
“Doesn’t matter how strong they think they are, I am going to be the best.” he retorts, holding his hand up and sending tiny sparks from them.
The pink haired girl, apparently hoping to test out how favored she is by God, continues to push on. “Todoroki has a good quirk, and he seems quite experienced already.” Katsuki scoffs as she continues. “L/N has a pretty powerful quirk too.” She pretends to ponder as Katsuki mutters a soft, “Of course she does.” Under his breath, causing you to smile slightly.
Jirou seems to sense the dangerous direction Ashido is heading and sends her a warning glance as the pink girl continues, “Then there is Midoriya,” Katsuki tenses at the name, “he also seems like he could stand a chance with that brain of his.” Her tone is teasing as she continues on.
You swear you can FEEL his blood pressure rising as he goes to turn around fully this time, face scrunched in disgust. You take his hand before he can turn fully and drag him along with you as your group continues down to the lunch room. “You know what I have been craving?” You ask them in an attempt at distraction, and Ashido gives you an appreciative and relieved smile as you successfully stop her from being buried in the hole she digs daily, at least for now. Katsuki looks at you annoyed, very well aware of what you are doing but lets you continue anyways. “Hot pot.”
You look at the group and see Kaminari nod in agreement, “That sounds delicious.” He all but drools at the thought. Jiro laughs lightly at this but nods in agreement. Similar yums and expressions of concurrence flow out of the group as you enter the large cafeteria. Ashido perks up now, no longer fearing for her life, “We should totally plan a group trip to get hot pot together!” She exclaims as you all get your lunches and take a seat at the same spots you do everyday. You sit between Katsuki and Kirishima, with Ashido sitting right by Kirishima and across from you all sits Kirishima, across from you sits Jiro, Kaminari and Sero. Always at the same table too. “We should make a group chat so we can further discuss," Ashido continues the conversation right where you all left off with an excited smile.
Nods of agreement roll through the table, other than Katsuki but that’s just him being him. The group continues to chatter and talk about plans as you all pull out your phones, again with the exception of Katsuki. Ashido slowly collects everyone’s contacts, at least those she doesn’t already have. When she gets to Katsuki she takes one look at his face before turning to you. You give her his number, to which he yells at you for. But it holds no real malice and dies down quickly.
Lunch goes by, and you all talk about the hot pot trip a little more before switching conversation back to the Sports Festival. It is much more lighthearted and fun this time. Time seems to fly as you are talking with your friends and before you know it lunch has ended and you are now on your way back to class. The rest of the day goes by pretty uneventfully- that is until you go to leave the classroom.
The door opens, revealing a hall full of students crowded around the classroom. Their chatter echoing to a quiet murmur as they take in the students in the classroom. Ashido lets out a squeal as she bumps into one of the students waiting outside of the door and she quickly apologizes. ‘This is what she gets for not watching where she is going, I’ve told her to be careful so many times already.’ you think to yourself as your classmates start chatting and gathering near or around the door.
“What are you doing here?” Ashido asks the group of students standing in front of the door. Katsuki walks near as well and answers the pink girls question, a look of annoyance on his face as he eyes the students waiting outside of the classroom. “They’re here to scope out the competition and to study the class that has already fought and won against villains.” He says as his annoyance turns to a cocky smirk.
He turns to the students gathered around, “You better leave now, there is no point in trying to ‘scope out competition’ because there won’t be a competition. I’M GOING TO HAVE A TOTAL AND COMPLETE VICTORY! YOU HEAR THAT!” After hearing his far too obnoxious yelling, most of the students leave or back away. But a purple haired boy stays right where he is.
He speaks up in a low and monotonous voice, “You know, students in the General Department can be transferred to the Heroes course if they do well at the festival. But the reverse is also true for Heroes.” His face holds challenge and contempt as he continues, “Consider this my declaration of war, I will win.”
Behind him a blonde with a loud and high pitched voice begins to cackle like a lunatic, “Wow, this class is full of arrogant hero wannabes. You win in one battle against villains and suddenly you think you are the best of the best. Watch it, class 1-B will beat you and obtain-” his declaration is cut short by a giant fist clashing against his head.
“Sorry about that,” the hands owner calls out to no one and everyone as she takes the blonde boy away. Sero turns to you with a smirk on his face as he whispers so only you can hear, “She must be the one to keep him in check, just like you with your angry Pomeranian.” The two of you laugh lightly and Katsuki side eyes you but doesn’t comment.
Soon enough the classes have cleared the way and stopped their gawking leaving your class free to leave. “Let's go.” Katsuki mumbles under his breath as he begins walking out the door. You follow him along with the rest of your class shuffling out of the room, ready to make their way to their own homes. You chat with your friends as you walk, pulling ahead of most of your other classmates.
Ashido makes one remark or another to Kaminari as Jiro joins in, effectively destroying any dignity he had left. But one look at him tells you he doesn't really care, for he has a carefree smile anyways and takes the friendly jokes like a champ. Kirishima, ever the compassionate soul, joins in to defend his friend's honor and you join in every so often to do the same. He says something that causes the group to laugh and before you know it you’ve reached the gates of the school ground signaling that it is time to depart from one another.
Katsuki begins to walk in the direction of your houses, not even bothering with a reply or goodbye to the rest of the group. He does wait a few feet away for you to finish your goodbyes though. “Have a good day!” Ashido calls out waving and walking in the opposite direction as you. She is met with a series of goodbyes and pleasantries exchanged as your group seperates and everyone goes there own ways. As you begin walking in the direction of your houses you join hands with Katsuki, and it takes you a moment to notice Kirishima walking that way too.
“No way,” the red haired boy has a bright smile on his face as he takes in the direction you guys are walking, “You live this way too?” You match his smile as the three of you begin to walk in the same direction, Katsuki sandwiched between the two of you.
“Tsk, great now I have to walk with another obnoxious extra.” His words hold no real malice as you lean over to look at Kirishima.
You hit him playfully as you look towards Kiriahima “Yeah, I wonder how close you are to us? And how have we not noticed this before?”
Katsuki rolls his eyes and answers your last question, “It’s because you two are incapable of taking in your surroundings." He turns to you, “Do you know how many times I’ve had to pull you out of the road because you didn’t look both ways.” Now his gaze directs to Kirishima as he continues, “And you too Shitty Hair, you are always almost bumping into people when you walk in the hallway because you’re so busy talking to whoever you're with.“
You and the aforementioned red haired boy give slight frowns before laughing, “Ok, call me out I guess.” You sigh as you fake a hurt look, lips jutted in a pout.
“Knock it off,” is the only reply you get from the blonde.
“Anyways,” Kirishima speaks up again, turning to depart from the trio, “this is where we must separate. How much farther do you two have to go?” You look at your surroundings but Katsuki speaks up first, “About two more blocks.”
Kirishima turns to you this time, “And you?”
“Two more blocks, we’re actually neighbors.” You respond with a light smile.
His face lights up like this is the coolest piece of information he has ever processed. “Oh that’s so lucky. Well, see you two tomorrow. Have a good day.” He waves as he turns to walk up to his house, you take note which one it is for no particular reason as you and Katsuki begin to walk.
“Earlier when we were talking about how we didn’t know he lived in the same direction you said that it’s because us two were oblivious to our surroundings.” you turn to the boy with questioning written all over your face, “But the way you said it implied that you knew he walked this way too.” Katsuki seems to blush slightly, almost imperceptible, but you catch the slight coloring of his cheeks.
“Yeah, I noticed him walking this way the other day when we stayed after school so you could ask a teacher something. I saw him when I was looking out the window.” He responds, he sounds normal, bored even. The two of you continue chatting, you do most of the talking though, and soon enough you near your houses.
“Wanna come over and have a movie night?” You ask before the two of you depart.
“After I finish my homework maybe.” He turns to walk to his porch, but you stop him by grabbing his arm.
“Or, hear me out, take the homework with us and we can do it together.” You give him a pleading look, to which he sighs before nodding. “Fine, Just let me at least tell the old hag I’m home.” His face softens at your bright smile, and loud celebratory “Yes!” He walks to the door of his house, you trailing behind. He opens it, yells inside a quick, “Hey, I’m home now I’m going to Y/N’s house!”
“Tell her I said hi!” Is the only response he gets from Mitsuki before he goes to close the door. You stop him from doing so and call back, “Hi, I hope you had a good day!” The woman, finally appearing before the two of you, gives you a smile and a, “You too. Now you kids behave.” before Katsuki grumbles a response and closes the door.
“I hate how friendly you two are with each other," the blonde mumbles under his breath as you make the short distance to your house.
“Oh come on, you know it makes you happy because now I get to kidnap you without parental backlash or questioning.” you smile, raising your eyebrows suggestively at him, and opening the door and entering your house.
“Hello honey, how was your day?” Your father calls out once he spots you. “Good, can Katsuki hang over for a movie night?” You ask, knowing the answer and with said boy already over. He huffs a small chuckle before responding with, “Damage is already done I see. Are you having dinner here?” He asks the boy, who simply replies with a shrug. You use your words to reply for him instead, “Yes he is.” Before taking his arm and leading him to your room. He smiles as he enters it, elaborately decorated just how you like. A touch of you in every corner.
“So, this new rom com just came out and I have been so excited to finally see it.” You begin and Katsuki gives you a frown.
“Homework first.” He states simply, sitting down on your floor and grabbing his stuff from his bag. You groan and try to speak up to argue but he beats you to it. “I know you. No we aren’t waiting till after the movie then you’ll fake falling asleep or find some way to continue putting it off. And no, we aren’t watching the movie while doing homework, you’ll get too distracted.”
You sigh as you take a seat next to him, pulling out your own work. “You know me too well.” The two of you work in almost silence, broken every so often by a thought that pops into your head or a question one or the other asks. You are in one of those silent moments when you hear a ding ring from you and Katsuki’s phones, you pick it up to a text from Ashido and smile a little. “It’s Ashido,” you answer the questioning gaze he sends your way, “It’s in the new group chat.”
Bakugo is trying to ignore the ringing sounds coming from the phones. He puts his on silence as he tells you, “Turn it off dummy, we’re working.” You ignore him and continue to text your friends.
“Katsuki Bakugo!” You turn to him, he gives you a smirk and you give him a glare as he rolls his eyes and says, “I’m not actually going to leave,” simply to placate your frown. Your face relaxes as you give a nod of your head, “Good.”
“We have work to do, focus.” The blonde sitting next you whacks your head lightly, you whip your head to him, matching frowns on your faces.
“Don’t hit me.” you say simply, followed by a quick, “Fine. I’ll speed things up.”
You smile as you put down your phone. “I’m so excited for the food.” Your face is the full embodiment of yearning as you think of the delicious food you will soon be eating. The two of you work for a little more before your mother calls up to you, “Time for dinner!”
You stand up, dragging the boy with you and to the dining table. You eat the food, Katsuki politely thanks your parents for said food, and you quickly drag him back up to your room. Once you get there you take a look at the homework and turn to him with a smile, “Looks like we are done to me. The rest is just studying but that can be done at any time. Movie now?”
He sighs, putting his stuff back in his bag, “Yeah we can watch that stupid movie now.” You grin and quickly grab your remote, leading him to the bed. “Don’t man handle me you little witch,” he picks you up and continues speaking as he throws you on the bed. “Thats my job.”
You giggle loudly, taking his hand and pulling him down with you. “I call domestic abuse.” You retort as he lands with his arms caging you in. At some point, or maybe with someone else, it would have flustered you for seeming so sexual. But with him, in this moment, all you can feel is the soft love. The way he smiles, uncontrolled and relaxed, at the giggle coming from your lips.
He leans down and gives you a light peck on the lips before he moves your bodies so you are laying on his chest. “Bullshit,” his voice is full of affection as you move a little more to get comfortable. “What stupid movie are we watching again?” he asks, his hands starting to fidget with the ends of your hair.
“A cute rom com.” You reply as you begin to play the movie. You stay like that, in his arms and with a smile on your face, as you watch the movie in a comfortable silence. Every so often the silence is broken by one of you making a joke or sarcastic comment, or the ooo’s and aaawwww’s coming from you during cute scenes.
Before you know it the movie comes to an end, the credits roll and Katsuki looks at the clock- 8:49. “I better get going.” he gives your forehead a surprisingly gentle kiss before attempting to push you off of him.
“Do you have to?” You squeeze his waist tightly and bury your head into the crook of his neck.
“Come on you little witch.” He moves his arms to push you off and you relent, letting go and falling to the bed beside him. You look up at him, now standing above the bed, with a pout on your face.
“But I was so cozy and warm,’ you sigh, putting your hand up to your forehead like a feinting princess, “what will I do now?”
“You’ll live dumbass. See ya tomorrow.” He makes his way to the door and you get up and follow him. In the hall you pass your mother who gives you two a nod, “I was just going to come to tell you two that time was up. Have a nice night Katsuki.” He gives you mom an attempt at a polite smile and a quiet, “You too.”
Just as he is about to leave, your father calls out from the living room, “Have a good night.”
The boy responds with a quick, “You too.” and you make your way out of the house. Once you make it to the front porch you turn to him and give him a small peck on the lips, to which he rolls his eyes and pulls you in for an actual kiss. It’s soft and sweet, and the perfect way to end the day.
You gently pull away, and whisper a soft, “Have a good night, love ya.” before taking a step back.
“You too,” he responds simply as he walks away.
“Tell your lovely parents I say good night!” You call out to his retreating figure before you head back into your own house, and room, to get ready for the night. You lay down in your bed, mind running through the day’s events. And it isn’t long before you drift off into the land of slumber.
