" Glad ya like the scarf, birdie. Yellow suits you....."
Score: 14 out of 25 Tier: nah. perchance. fuck it we ball. a great match. meant to be. BINGO!
It would be really really funny. The sex would be terrible but the friendship would either be painfully awkward or rock solid. Jess may unfortunately get a kick out of rage baiting her and for that I am sorry. I am, the writer, the sorry one. Jess wouldn't be sorry at all lmao. They may even date seriously before fizzling out, or even go on dates when they're bored. But there are too many big ticket things missing for the romance to have any real hope. Jesse would find her too serious, unfunny, far too nonchalant or apathetic about life. And If she turns out to be jealous, possessive, or dishonest, then the whole relationship is entirely out of the question. Maybe they can teach each other lessons about the world, life, and each other? Maybe there is still time for change? Maybe these differences fit perfectly and form a contrast that forms into a strength. But there is a 49 - 51 chance here, with the favored odds being towards the affection being brief.

The captain couldn't decide if this guy was worth arguing with, or if his banter was merely playful, or tactical, or if he was stupid enough to insult her. To be honest, she was just happy he had a face to read at all ( if one could call ...that, a face. ) Most dead and even some undead had no eyelids to squint nor lips to smile or scowl, much less eyebrows! Her own eyebrows gave away her annoyance, even as she maintained a sharp grin.
" Then allow me t' dumb it down fer ya. "
For now, she mirrored him, spat for spat, and coyly leaned forward into the table to rest her head on her propped fist. The other hand pointed and flicked about, nonchalantly punctuating her words.
" You. Dead. Me? Alive. Alive an' Barbonarish. Me crew? Very alive, very very Barbonarish. The Old Ivorys? Very dead. Very Ākaucognati. Old Ivorys hate the living. Ākaucognati historically dislike us Barbonarish. And yet-"
She leaned in with the rest of her body and put both hands on the table. Green eyes grew dark and the once honeyed voice plunged an octive.
" -they hire me an' me crew? "
Eyes nailed the murky man to his seat. But that cocky smile remained, even as her face grew stern.
" Somethin' smells off, matey. An' it stinks a whole lot worse than you. "

Well wasn't he bold? A defensive smile flashed before the redhead turned away with a snort. She tried her best to come off as cocky or even nonchalant to her latest acquaintance, and tossed her two hands behind her head. Just ignore the fluttering in your chest, captain. You're a professional.
" Yeah, I'm pretty great. "
"Almost...got a full board." He had fun doing it.

Farmer for farmer. Leader for leader. Two totally different worlds, against every law of probability, collided at just the right place and time. It was literally kismet. Serendipity even. There almost isn't much to say about these two with how near perfectly aligned they are. She loves all of him. His body, his mind, his deep eyes, his deeper voice. She doesn't really believe in deserving as a concept, but she gets it a little more now, as she feels that perhaps he's too good for her, or at least that he should be with a woman who will live to see 60... Luckily for him, she wants him more than she should. And luckily for her, he's almost perfect! ...almost, that is. See... its not just that she likes her men a little fruity, which she really really does. It's that, well, in Narish culture, in various degrees from tribe to tribe, not only are "straight" couples not seen as legitimate as their queer counterparts, (an idea Jess herself doesn't really agree with) but a man being put off by the advances of other men could actually be mistaken for insecurity, or worse, weakness. It's a fusion of ancient Greek, Roman, and colonial French ideas I think?? I'd have to check my notes, but to Jess this shouldn't be much of an issue so long as he isn't actually insecure or homophobic (not that she'd know what its called). No the real sting would is that he's never been truly ostracized before, while she has. He's a man of few words but nooo less charismatic or respected and, if Jess were less mature, less secure, and more egotistical, that may have been a problem. But she isn't, so it's not. There are a million other and better things that they have bonded over, so this really isn't that big of a deal either. He's a wonderful dad to their kids and a wonderful man in general. This score does not surprise me, nor her.

This is a bingo in my heart tbh. And definitely a bingo in hers. His nose may be small, but hes so fucking beautiful that it hardly matters. He may be on the shorter side compared to her, but so is everyone, and that means he can be little spoon and borrow her oversized clothes. He may not suffer a disability, but boy has he SUFFERED, and that familiarity with pain will bring the patience that Jesse looks for in a partner she wants to rely on. Sexually, they seem to be a mismatch, but they are so devoted to each other that an effort is made anyway. By the time years have passed, this aspect of their relationship has been worked through and they've helped each other heal. He is more possessive than she'd like. She's less serious or considerate than he'd like. But otherwise theirs is a peaceful love, built on a foundation of trust and understanding.
calliope places this down with a slight blush.
"...I ...you?!?!? ...hey ah, yeah would ya mind buildin' a house with me? an' move in? to the house? with me? an' yer kids? an' me cats? an' me? 'f ya want??? ...are ya hungry? "

Holy shit??? Is this a bingo??? This is so SO close to a bingo! Literally the only thing standing in the way of a perfect union is the sex and each of their ideas about what sex is and means to them. For Jess, it is an activity for bonding, for friends or partners, a stress relief and a barometer for whether her spirit in in tune with another's. She isn't monogamous in nature but is totally willing to be! She finds physical intimacy to be less and less important the more she gets to know a partner, and more and more of a chore as she gets older and in more chronic pain. If she feels the same or even similar then..... that's it. We'd have ourselves a bingo.
