Its Daddy's Home!

I hate to admit it pero mukhang unti-unti ko na namang nagugustuhan si Charice. By the way, may kinalaman nga pala to sa isang talent show kung saan isa sya sa mga hurado, The X-Factor Philippines. Well, kung isa ka sa mga masugid na tagasubaybay, alam mong Daddy's Home ang huling pasok sa Top4 ng nasabing show kung saan ay nakalaban ng group si Jeric. As some of you knows, judges vote for the contestant/s they want to be cast out. Judge Martin Nieverra for Daddy's Home, judge Gary Valenciano for Jeric, judge Pilita Corales for Daddy's Home, and finally, Charice Pempengco for Jeric. "Come on people! Philippines have to change!", sabi ng international singer. "Alam kong marami na namang magre-react sa magiging boto ko dahil kasi ganun ang uso dito eh!", sabi pa nya. Di man direktang sinabi pero ang ibig nyang sabihin ay mahilig kasi tayo sa kung sino ang mas may appeal sa nakararami ay dun na din tayo, nakikisakay nalang minsan kumbaga. Kaya minsan imbes na talent show ay nagiging Mr. & Ms. Pogi na ang kinalalabasan dahil sa mas tinitignan ang panlabas na postura kesa dun sa talento na in the first place ay sya naman talagang pinaglalabanan. To be honest, Daddy's Home is my second favorite, my first is KC. Pero hindi yun ang dahilan kung bakit natuwa ako kay Charice sa boto nya in favor for Daddy's Home. Hindi ko din naman sinasabing hindi magaling si Jeric. Nagustuhan ko siguro yung conviction nya, kumbaga ayos lang na i-hate sya ng marami, ang mahalaga ay ipinasok nya yung sa tingin nya ay mas deserving based sa performance na gagawin ng mga contestants for that night. Hanggat maaari ay gusto kong iwasan ang paglalagay ng about showbiz sa blog na 'to pero masyado lang talaga akong naging masaya. Since naging patas kasi ang decision ng mga hurado, sa boto ng mga tao ibinase kung sino kina Jeric at Daddy's Home ang papasok sa Top4.

Hindi ko in-expect na Daddy's Home ang makakapasok dahil sa mga previous nights ay mas mataas talaga ang ranking ni Jeric. Well, ngayon nalang din ako ginanahan manuod ng mga ganitong programa dahil masasabi kong worthy talaga ang lahat ng mga contestants, hindi tulad ng mga nagdaang bagong singing competition ngayon na sa wika pa nga ni Vice Ganda ay parang mga "puchu-puchu" lang. X-Factor Philippines indeed brings back the glory of singing competition of the old good days. And Charice Pempengco is now changing the viewers perspective on how to judge when it comes to a talent show like this.   <'))><

Interrupting our regular programming to post a video of this wonderful girl. (It's probably non-representative of the extent of her talent but this is the most recent I found on Youtube of her, and really enjoyed listening to it.)

Her name's KZ Tandingan. She's from Digos, a suburban city in Davao del Sur, and she's currently a contestant on X-Factor Philippines. (Check this out for her amazing audition video, where she sings her own version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and Ready or Not, in which she also raps.)

She's not the typical biritera (what we Filipinos call a "belter"), but she always owns -- and kills -- the songs she sings, no matter the genre.

And this is just one of the many covers she's done. Search her up on Youtube and fall in love with her voice, yeah?

Little girl. Big talent.
