Katey’s dream fantasy home is comfortable, warm, and one-story, with a beautiful garden in the back with a stone patio where she can sit and read and sip tea surrounded by her flowers and her herbs. Inside, she has more herbs and flowers, grown in hydroponic systems on her kitchen counter. She has a pet rabbit and a dog and a cat, and a big soft couch with too many pillows. The bedroom’s color scheme is moss, cream, and gently accented with pink. There are always fresh roses collected from the weekly farmer’s market gathered in a stone vase by the bed. Her kitchen is white, with pastel yellow cabinets and plaid window scarfs over the windows; on the windowsills are small pots of basil, sage, and thyme. It is very important to her that she have a window over her sink so she can look out over her backyard while she cleans the dishes.
She wants everything just right, so soft and inviting and comfortable. A place where you can go and there’s always a meal going on the stove in case someone stops by. A place that smells of herbs, flowers, and scented candles. Small, family-oriented, and never overwhelming. A respite.
