“-sigh- this is why I can NEVER host a nice dinner party in this place…”
I’m not sure if anyone really asked you this question
But what do you think of new krypton as a long-term aspect of the Superman mythos?
Yes you have e your ideal ending to the new krypton storyline and your thoughts on how it was wasted
But how would you deal with new krypton in the long term?
Personally…I love the idea that Zod, despite his disagreements with Kal, would have some modicum of faith in the United planets and would be a major player in its politics
Personally I see some Krakoa-level storytelling with new krypton and the United Planets
They'd be one of the more militant and aggressive factions within the United Planets, advocating for aggressive expansion and colonization of disputed sectors. Basically the warmongers that want to turn the United Planets from the Star Trek Federation-esque organization Clark envisions it being into a Star Wars Galactic Empire organization. The long game should be the Els working to reform New Krypton from within, either have Kara be the one taking point on this, or do it with an older Kal who has moved to New Krypton post-death of Lois.
There definitely should be some Krakoa insofar as Zod wants ALL the Kryptonians on New Krypton, including the Els. They're one of Krypton's Noble Houses after all, it wouldn't be Krypton without them, and deep down maybe Zod wants someone who will challenge him to work with him. But also he gets even the real batshit insane Phantom Zone prisoners like Xa-Du and Jax-Ur out of the Phantom Zone to help build New Krypton into a galactic superpower in the same way Xavier and Magneto recruited Sinister. Those guys would be building super weapons to be used on New Krypton's enemies (while scheming their own agendas of course).
Who’s the Phantom Zone’s first prisoner? Jax-Ur or Xa-Du?
Jax-Ur was the original 'first prisoner', but I'd say Xa-Du banks on that aspect much further between the two of them and should get to carry that legacy forward.
