I’m definitely late to the Witch Hat Atelier train but I just gotta say…this manga fills me with the wonder and excitement that H*rry P*tter was supposed to fill me with.

Kamome Shirahama has a way of making the world of WHA so wondrous and enchanting and we see all of that wonder through Coco’s eyes. Every new spell and contraption Coco encounters and creates is so fantastical and you can feel her excitement when a problem is solved with new magic.

Characters frequently talk about how magic is supposed to bring joy or help people. Even though magic is still kept secret from normal people, the secrecy of magic is framed as an ethical dilemma. Characters chafe against and challenge those notions.

It’s just so refreshing to see all the flaws that HP had be tackled and challenged by Witch Hat Atelier.

Stormlight Archive Mormon backflip theory headcanons

Kaladin - Can do backflips but is very demure about it. Won’t do it if you ask him but will do it when flying in battle (unintentional aura farming).

Adolin - Constantly doing backflips. Used to do it a lot more when he was younger and has since lessened the frequency (also has a slightly harder time doing it than Kaladin) but will still do it on command if you ask, unless you’re Wit.

Wit - Can backflip, but finds it a lot funnier to goad people into doing backflips, especially when they can’t.

Renarin - Can’t backflip. Wit always goads him into trying it just once but it never works.

Dalinar - Used to be able to do backflips when he was younger but can’t really do them anymore. Strength builds don’t really mesh well with dex builds and Dalinar ain’t nothing if not built like a brick shithouse.

Moash - Cannot do a backflip and gets mad when he sees people doing it.

Lopen - Cannot do a backflip but god does he try.

Lift - Tries so hard to learn how to backflip. She’s still working on it.

Szeth - Can backflip, will not do it on command.
