Late creating an art piece celebrating the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles X, but it is done !! I have been wanting to draw Elma for my ever growing Xenobabes floral set, just needed the motivation to do so. I honestly cannot wait for this game. I played it so much when it first came out for the Wii U and I am excited to do it all over again.

Rambling about Kye's design under cut (spoilers about XDE and Xeno1)

Ok so "that person" that Kye is obsessed with is Criss, my first Cross from the Wii U ver, and Criss was first a Shion Uzuki lookalike and then a Fiora lookalike in the postgame. She's a skell nerd and cheeky and that was kind of it

Kye was basically paletteswap Criss with the hair and eyes being an homage to Meyneth, and they were going to be a silent mercenary type

After I played ch13 (iykyk), I changed Kye's personality to be more outspoken and cynical to contrast Criss's optimism

Kye's shared memories with Criss is modeled after Fiora and Meyneth sharing a body, but Kye goes lowkey evil instead after they got fed up with ch13 leaving Mira to explode without anyone else bothering to defend it

Their name is literally an anagram of "key", which is a reference to that one cutscene of Xehanort talking about the letter χ
