Could you tell us something about Nika? Her name is so cute and she intrigues me

so this is my girl nika. she is a fairly new oc of mine so not everything is very thoruth through yet, more vibes. + She is inspired by my sister (hiiii :))

She comes from near the sea and the rest of her family are like some sort of water mages, but she decieded to be a dark mage. also she gets to beat up people with her sticks.

i also already designed an evening grown worthy for her.

if i'm stuck somewhere and i have paper and a pen, then yeah, sometimes, but it's never ever my first go-to, and is pretty much always just outline stuff! honestly i just really hate writing dialogue by hand 😩 and that's 90% of my writing sooo

16. How often do you describe the sky?

okay this was a fascinating question and i had NO idea so i did a quick word search and the sky was described 3 times across 500+ pages. um. oops? by contrast things were described as "risky" 6 times. make of that what you will i suppose.

How’d the brownie née bogart go?

sorry to crush anyone's hopes and dreams but it went... fine. not fantastically, but not disastrously either. it was good. we ate the whole thing. was it great? no, not by any means. but was it bad? not at all. it was fine! borderline enjoyable, imminently tolerable. 6.9/10, would make (better) again. recipe under the cut for if you want that

NEW AND IMPROVED MUG BROWNIE (2024 edition)

baby, never underestimate what the power of INGREDIENCE will do for you

also an oven. i didn't have to buy a single thing because i can bake now and so i just do. wrow. imagine that

all measurements are very very very ehhh since i honestly just eyeballed and estimated it all. sorry. follow your heart and all that but also let's be real you're not using this recipe

half a 1/4 cup of flour, as you can't find your (non-existent?) 1/8 cup

3 tsps of cocoa powder, as you don't know how many tsps to a 1/8 cup and don't have a 1/8 cup to use (see above)

2 tsps of sugar

half a tsp of baking powder. perhaps baking soda would be better to use but you can't find yours and the powder is right there. you don't remember which one is better for mug brownies anyway

pour in some milk until it "feels right"

add just a tiny splash of vegetable oil, in place of butter and/or eggs. you need a binding agent for... baking reasons, but you don't have the latter and don't feel like melting the former. so vegetable oil it is. side note: absolutely killed this part, shout out to me

mix all together. marvel over how it looks like a batter, but ponder whether it's enough

add another half 1/4 cup of flour, and 1-2 more tsps of cocoa powder depending on which one i did but forgor sorry

do not add more baking powder because you felt like you added too much previously anyway

1 more tsp of sugar. side note: it was NOT sweet at all so definitely at least double both instances of sugar. perhaps even triple. (and then likely adjust wets to compensate)

mix together. too sludgy! add milk until it once again has a batter like consistency. remark aloud your confusion that it takes up the exact same amount of real estate in the mug (your beloved young dumb and full of libel mug, naturally) but decide against adding yet more in case it overflows. side note: it only rose to about half the cup, definitely add another [see written second amounts above] of everything.

put in the microwave for 29 seconds. check on it. put in for 15 seconds. check on it. another 15 seconds. check on it. at this point it will look and smell done, but you will suspect underneath is unbaked, so do another 30 seconds, broken up in 10 second intervals.

take it out. cautiously poke it. it looks... fine. like a baked good. eat it. it tastes fine! unsweetened, as mentioned previously, and a very unique texture. somewhere between cake and muffin and waffle. you did not make a mug brownie BUT...

neither did you make an alien organism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in conclusion we ate it all and would have eaten more. in the future i would make more batter, add more sugar, and throw in some salt (i forgot oops but you can add a pinch) + extract (vanilla/almond, depending on mood), and maybe some butter? to make the consistency more brownie? or even cookie? or cakey? but it was totally edible.

26. Who is prone to road rage?

you'd assume this would obviously be sun and you'd be right. sun is in fact so prone to road rage that she gets pre-angry just looking at certain makes models and colors of cars because she simply assumes the driver is going to be shitty and piss her off. luckily though she's also a terrible driver. she's not really allowed to drive that often :/ you hate to see it. meanwhile octavia is so good at driving that she's also bad at it because she insists on following every rule to a T. she is also not herself prone to road rage but sometimes "accidentally" rolls down sun's window so she can better flip people off which, uh, doesn't really help in most situations

9. Who travels lighter?

100% eagadler no question. t(he)y have one single carry on that functions as both a rolling suitcase and backpack for different occasions and masterfully fits everything they could possibly need inside of it. would rather buy something at their destination than try to make room for it. meanwhile ursula packs light in terms of clothes toiletries etc but is physically incapable of going anywhere without the entire encyclopædia britannica set. however she hates checking her bag so she always just ends up arguing with the agents over whether it's too heavy (it is) and too big (it is) or not.
