This is a gift for @jammboe who is a wonderful friend that I got to know because of this game~ (pls check him out he makes art too and is very very good at it!!!!!) In general I made so many amazing friends bc of XCX, which is why it will always have a very special place in my heart

(I've recently been hit with major emotions over it and I've been playing it a bit again just to exist in its world, and it's been so much fun! Even though I barely have anything left to do in it whoops)

Finished raffle prize for @baevi !

I know the prize description was a sketch flat, but Aevi has been such a motivator for me and such an inspiration for my art, she’s taught me so much both directly and indirectly that I had to do something for her. Shes given me so much advice, and I admire her work and style so everything she says to me means so much. During the zine, she gave so much advice on top of support, she gave such good feedback that helped me push myself to learn more about how to draw. Shes inspired me to experiment with methods and styles I typically am not comfortable with. Actually, for the past couple of months, I’ve branched out so much that a majority of my shading is done on only 1-3 layers now (a jump from ~90)?!

I was nervous about shading the hair because I’ve never shaded duel-tone hair before with this new minimal layer method, but then I remembered wait this is a dedication to the person who motivated me to go beyond my usual, and so I made an experimental mess.

even more may be coming if only bc i would like a backstory on why Elma essentially adopted Lin like. Like. did they bond over mechanical stuff since Elma brought all this tech to them. Does Elma just have a soft spot for kids (probably likely tbh). But she went as far to make sure Lin got to stay with her in the barracks and I just cry because Elma (for the most part) is such a good mom to Lin and it makes my heart soft

Nova meanwhile is just like ‘well with all these scars I sorta doubt any family I have lived to make it onto the White Whale and Lin already adopted me as a second mom so you are stuck with me not to mention my crush on you, elma, but hahahah’

Natasha (as any other cross) came without memories while everyone in NLA had it. Nevertheless someone else had this problem, a problem which made a connection between them, something they have in common and made Natasha feel much more comfortable to not get into odd feelings, sadness or uncertainty when everyone gathered to long for Earth and their memories

The rest is ship trash post but a good one. A strong link and well builded partnership through time. Yelv wasn’t the only one significant for Natasha tho. All the crew, some significants NPCs and xenos are part of her life now. 

I don’t know what else to say, this has lot of significative charge, since the game anniversary to her own story. It could be her birthday too but i played the game until February and her actual birthday is in october (lel) so.... this goes for my birthday then!! ºAº)9... or the anniversary... it’s the same.
