In each confrontation, Omega Red’s ability to ensnare the minds of his hosts grows stronger as in the present Mikhail Rasputin’s mastery over the Cerebro Sword improves. Displaying that his influence is not limited to just human minds, Red’s attacks are unrelenting. His face off against Itsu, with Daken’s existence hanging in the balance, takes an unexpected turn at the arrival of Romulus. But even more twists are in store for Logan as he discovers that even he is susceptible to Omega Red’s possessions. And here I was holding on to hope that we would never be cursed with an appearance by Romulus ever again! Can’t we just forget that he ever happened? But I guess like him or not, he did play an integral role in Logan’s past so he was bound to show his stupid head at some point. This issue has probably the best scene of this event so far as Omega Red captures the mind of a giant sperm whale! That was epic and totally unexpected. Benjamin Percy has been doing a great job with this story so far, but the artwork is running away with it. Omega Red’s are downright frightening in appearance.
