I think that Beth is making some poor choices based on her panic, and they are all short-term fixes that aren’t going to hold up in the long-run. I mean, a lot of what she did in 3.03 was extremely questionable, but I think it just goes to show how desperate she is knowing she has Rio breathing down her neck with a gun in his hand.

I hope the fake pregnancy isn’t something that is dragged on throughout the season. The timeline alone is kind of a mess and she couldn’t logically keep the lie going for much longer under the assumption that they (Beth and Rio) conceived months ago (of course if she claims it’s Dean’s, then that’s another story. It would be a mistake to have Rio think he’s the father, when it would make absolutely no sense assuming that months have gone by since Beth shot him.)

I think that we really saw Beth scrambling for something - anything - to keep herself alive until she can find a more permanent solution.
