PPA Claim & Draw Previews!

I'm excited to share previews of my drawings for Project Path Action's Claim & Draw collab for Octopath Traveler's 8th anniversary next month! I drew Ochette, Xerc, and Ashlan! The final collab comes out on Bluesky on July 13th, and there's still time to join!

Xerc the Flameguard!

@toxiccoswynaut here he is, Xerc the Flameguard (aka Xerc EX warrior)!!! I'm really happy with this piece!

I used Xerc's battle stance as my base and gave him the sword angled downward to contrast Sazantos holding it angled upward and Rondo holding it horizontally. I incorporated Xerc's color scheme into the outfit alongside a few extra details from his scholar outfit. And I of course couldn't forget the rainbow flame imbued with the power of soulstones! I tried my best with the colors. I think I've definitely improved at drawing Xerc since the first time in November. I changed his hair color too for this one and it looks much better!

Xerc EX would be so fun for my lovely sword comp. At this point with my fave OT0 people in CotC it's either your base is elemental and your theoretical EX is sword (a la Xerc) or your base functions in sword and your EX is elemental (a la Phenn, because soulstone expert scholar Phenn is still brewing in my head, maybe soon). Viator would obviously be the latter. Funnily enough elemental comps were my go-to before my sword comp crystallized while working on Yunnie/Yan Long/Sable Shadow Dragon. All my arena clears before that were elemental. I suppose rainbow comp will soon bring me full circle (rainbow sword comp when??? Xerc EX leading the charge! It'd be so beautiful.).

Tomodachi Life: Chefzantos at it again

I try to limit myself to one post a day regarding Tomodachi Life, but my goodness SAZANTOS ATTENDED ANOTHER FAN MEETUP FOR HIMSELF! And it was even more ridiculous than the last one!!!!!

I literally added more people to my lingo since the last one and it still happened again! These goofballs can somehow recognize Sazantos on another island but not right in front of their own faces!!!

This one is older, but he is literally cooking. There was a chef's coat available in the store yesterday so I got him a matching coat. Now he can alternate between chef hat/fan shirt & fan hat/chef shirt!

Tomodachi Life Updates: 5/12 & 5/13

A lot has happened on Squirts these past two days!

Alaune and Ludo moved in together under the banner of Ludo's Lackeys, once again brought together by the phrase "You will feel my fiery wrath!" I have a funny idea for a drawing already, but Ludo needs more lackeys first.

Disaster struck tonight. Alexia said she wanted to share her feelings for Alaune, I told her to be friends first, and she said no I'm gonna confess right now. Then Ludo showed up (HE WAS LITERALLY CRUSHING ON RONDO why did he suddenly want to date ALEXIA!?!?!). And of course Alaune picked Ludo because she likes him. This is what I get for causing romantic chaos. I was warming up to Rondo/Ludo and could've had it if weren't for the pull of the Ludo love triangle. Rondo's still crushing on him though so maybe there's hope. Poor Alexia...

Therion is so desperate to have Alexia that he has another crush on her even though she rejected him. She also said the other day that she was maybe crushing on Therion but I said no (again, all for the Ludo love triangle). Maybe they'll work out somehow. Alexia deserves to finally have some romantic success.

Today Sazantos infiltrated a meeting of his own fan club 😂😂😂😂. Maybe he was gathering intel; I have no clue. It's a shame than Rondo wasn't there too.

Xerc is a colored pencil fan artist like myself!?! This one really got me! Now I want to make my colored pencil set in the Palette House so I can give it to me and Xerc and I can pretend we're drawing fan art together (fun friendship activities!!!). And I want to draw that too (drawing fan art of characters drawing fan art, huh). This game gives me way more doodle ideas than I can handle. I'm already working on another one!

Tomodachi Life Updates: May 2-5

At this rate I can't share every funny screenshot I've ever taken, so here's the rundown of some recent Squirts highlights. Some pictures and a drawing below the cut (please look at them! It took me a while to take photos of all of them.)!

For the third time Agnea fell in love with someone she just met (Stia) but I told her she was still in love with Hikari.

Hikari is now crushing on Agnea too, an unexpected development!

Rondo is in love with Ludo. He's single now since he broke up with Alexia this weekend. We'll see how this situation goes.

Cyrus moved in with the Silly Billies (Rondo & Ochette) while Hikari moved in with The Bards (Goodwin & Therion)

I made Miis for Ashlan, Partitio, Stia, and Miles.

I've taken so long to finish Xerc's keeper pet (figuring out which color is which on the sprite is so tedious) that Alaune made a whole book about him 😂. Sorry Pike! I'll finish soon.

Therion had a whole safari fantasy while on the bouncy playground ride. He was in a hippo's mouth too. I was not expecting that one.

Everyone is very enamored with Cyrus's pet eastern quoll. I only gave it to him because he begged me for a pet!

Alexia has decided that her new goal is to make a giant Flamebringer's ring (perhaps to atone for the time she lost the Sacred Flame in the ocean?). Viator and Xerc had... interesting ideas for the ring. They REALLY need to get married already!

Viator loves his makeup box, so it's now my go-to lingo to help him make friends. It's already worked on Cyrus and Alexia (how were Viator and Alexia not friends yet they literally live together!)! I have an idea for a related doodle scenario as well, but that will need to wait.

Finally you have all the context for this sidebar I drew today! I thought it'd be funny to do it as one really long photo. My phone literally wouldn't let me make it any narrower.
