Jewish mulder still can be real

#there was an episode with a golem and he didn't know Hebrew or anything #but I think if mulder is Jewish he's been distanced from his heratige.#like I can imagine his mother is Jewish and idk if his father was particularly religious at all #but he grew up both not having been taught many traditions and also distancing himself from it #like he doesn't observe bc of his own reasons and also when seeing observant Jewish ppl he feels like he can't actually be Jewish #idk I don't know enough but I do this a Jewish reading of mulder would be very compelling #and I thought that episode might specifically deny that but they never did in fact they kind of implied he could be Jewish #anyway that ep was very heartbreaking so like........ yeah.#xfiles lb #I simply think the way that mulder interacts with and questions the world and the way he puts his own faith in things could be very #compelling with a Jewish perspective but I'm not qualified to do it u know ?
