“I hate this place.” Oliver said, arms balanced on propped knees and his rear in the sand. “It’s too damn perfect.”
He let out a brief snort of disbelief and shook his head. "Like, seriously, pinch me.” The waves were a wonderful height for Strand to regain his old balance while challenging the strong current at the same time. It didn’t get boring. In fact, he really didn’t want to stop, but hydration was important. His core would appreciate the break later. His water bottle was nearly empty by now. They weren’t alone at the shoreline, but few visitors were touching the water beyond getting their feet wet or playing fetch with a canine companion. “Old spots I’d hit up were so territorial, you'd have to show at the crack of dawn just to catch a few waves. This was way less claustrophobic.”
