British Fashion Council launches International Fashion Showcase
The exhibitions will provide some 80 international emerging designers with welcome exposure to buyers and the international press, as well as the general public. Sarah Mower, MBE and BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent will chair a panel of judges who will view every piece of work on display and award a prize to the country with the most impressive showcase.
Representing China will be Ma Ke, Mao Ji Hong, Xia Hua and Liu Tieyi. The exhibition will include still and moving images, displays and installations presented by womenswear brand EXCEPTION de MIXMIND and menswear brand EVE CINA. A private showing will take place on February 17 at the Royal Academy of Arts, followed by the open exhibition at Bow Arts Trust from February 18-23.
The contributing countries are:
Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Caribbean, China, Croatia, Estonia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Sierra Leone, United States and Uzbekistan.
