"It's one of the creepiest things I've ever watched."
"It's not good. The whole sexualisation of young girls like this, I don't like it at all I'm afraid, and that is my withering verdict.”
"Everyone is saying 'Oh it's so cute'... it's not cute. Don't like it. It just means that millions of young girls are going to be slapping on makeup and lipstick and all that. It's not right."

These are the words of Piers Morgan about Xia Vigor’s impersonation of @taylorswift on the show called Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.
How can he even see a young girl being sexualized by performing, impersonating specifically, a singer like Taylor???
And does he even get the context that it was for a talent show? A show where an artist is impersonating another artist?
In an interview, Xia’s mom said, "He should know his facts first... I thought he'd be more intelligent than that."
And what did he mean by “It just means that millions of young girls are going to be slapping on makeup and lipstick and all that. It's not right." anyway? How???? As Xia’s dad even said, “ She's not going a friend's birthday party in high heels and lipstick. It's not like that. She would never dress up like that on a normal day."
It’s simple as that Mr. Morgan. You, digging deeper into a 7 year old’s performance makes you a dumbass tbh.
I think that this is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life!

Jollibee has new dance craze together with Xia Vigor! Who does not love Jollibee's sweet-sarap spaghetti? They have been known for bring the best on our kids and also for us parents.
Mini taylor swift...
I feel I have to react to this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4128086/Taylor-Swift-girl-7-not-sexualised-father-says.html
I’ve visited your website a lot of time because it’s an interesting anthropological case of trash reporting. I am in a lot of ways both amused and offended by how my country is represented and how your treatment of people from poor countries are dehumanizing.
The assumptions and criticism against Xia Vigor has a great level of ignorance and insensitivity. Some comments:
“She sexualized.”
We only get this comments from western media for some reason. Children imitate what they see in the TV all the time [where American media market such artists to children anyway], and what Filipinos see in the show is merely playing for fun and not sexual in any way. FYI we are a culture who find mothers breastfeeding in the middle of a church service perfectly normal, while you people consider that rude and gross.
“She’s lip synching!”
The point of Your Face Sounds Familiar is mimicry and imitation. It’s not about singing or dancing ability at all. If you watch the entire show, then the other competing kids are doing it live because they are damn good singers.
“She should be taught to love herself, not to copy Taylor Swift and wear heavy make-up.”
LOL stupid assumption there! If you people read then you should know Xia stars in a TV drama where she is just herself. And the premise of the TV drama is about friendship between two girls. She was only made to wear make-up in that event because it’s a Taylor Swift impersonation. Otherwise, she is a child who is very proud of herself and her dual-heritage.
“She’ll end up with drugs and a destroyed childhood.”
Did that happen to the Harry Potter cast? And can you give an example of a local child actor in the PH who ended up like that?
"They’re making her a target for pedos.”
As if pedos do not target children who are not seen in TV? These comments imply that pedos target children because they behaved in a way perceived as sexual. I am aware that we have a serious child prostitution problem, but TV shows like this are vastly unrelated to that.

I have issues with the show as well, but these criticisms are very ignorant. I would criticize the show for blackface [although it’s because we have a different history of popculture and the meaning wasn’t the same], and that the Sandara Park imitation was sexualized for a 13 year old. But Xia is a darling and it hurts that she is getting international attention in a negative light.
Xia offered to play the ‘next Shirley Temple’ in Hollywood, says Dad
However, Mr. Vigor admitted, he is very reluctant to send Xia to Los Angeles because it would be too far away from him
Xia’s dad revealed they received an offer from a Hollywood director Without naming the director, the father said the offer was for Xia to become the ‘next Shirley Temple’ However, the family seems to be reluctant about them moving to Los Angeles MANILA, Philippines – Xia’s astonishing performance at “Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids” as Taylor Swift could just possibly be her ticket to Hollywood;…
