as much fun as it was for kol to exact his revenge, kill the wanker who thought coming to attack his home where he and his wife were living was a good idea? he had to show him just how wrong he was by slaughtering the entire town the man had lived in. while he didn’t get away completely unscathed, a witch the other rolled with placed a hex on him but that was another days problem. tonight he just wanted to be with davina, god he missed her. kol had made sure to enter the home silently, he wanted to surprise davina. thankfully when he came in, the dogs were out in the yard playing so they wouldn’t foil his plans. the original walked back to the room he could hear her heartbeat coming from, he leaned in the doorway with a single red rose in his hand as he smiled and looked at her. “is it possible you’ve grown even more stunning in the time i’ve been away?” kol asked his wife, hues sweeping from head to toe as he took the sight of her in.

Then things usually went sour, and someone ended up dead. Hope herself could attest. But seeing as she came out relatively on top last time, Kai felt he had a decent enough chance in making a case. “Say hello to your new secret weapon.”

She had plenty to think about, one of those things being how she would react if she saw anyone from her life that had been resurrected. Though it seemed that something was ready to test and push her on that when she heard a voice. It was obviously a Petrova doppelganger, but this one she knew instantly with the nickname they had used on her. Spinning around in an instant, Rebekah walked over to the girl slowly. “Tatia? Is it really you?”

🌋 ― “Hi,” he said friendly enough. This was not an unfriendly introduction, but there were some specifics that needed addressing. For an ancient golem, he wasn’t very patient.. but calm and collected?  He could pull that off. “We haven’t officially met. I’m Dimitri Clarke, and you’re the girl who killed my dad.” A single beat later, “I guess I can’t blame you. Prophecies are funny like that.”

💥 ― “You.. look familiar.” MG wasn’t super close with the Salvatores, or the ex-wife of Mystic Falls’ resident one, but there was something about the way this woman looked that made the young vampire do a double-take. “I’m so sorry― I did not mean to say that out loud.”

carnivals weren’t exactly his cup of tea, he much preferred the parties in the streets of new orleans. but he was intrigued to see what it was like, to go for his wife and maybe even get a snack of two from the humans who got drunk. the original listened for his wife, hearing her voice when he focused enough and walked over to her as his eyes swept her entire frame. “how is it you always take my breath away.” he asked, admiring the little black dress she wore.

katara had spent the entire morning with celestia to get ready for this event, she had gone shopping with zuko to obtain more modern clothing but the dragon that happened to be his best friend was dead set on giving katara a ‘welcome back to life girls relaxation day’ as she called it. the two got blow outs, new outfits, massages and manicures and pedicures. after all that she truly did feel pampered and was glad to now have the rest of the day and evening to spend with the man she loved, and she had never experienced this tradition of a carnival until now. the witch pushed her hair back over her shoulders, glancing over at zuko. “i may be unaware of most things, but this game has water.. you sure you think you’ll win?” she challenged him, grinning as she sat at one of the seats that was to the game to shoot water into a clowns mouth.

she felt awful, everything inside of katara felt disgusting. she hadn’t been able to control herself and hurt the person she loved most in the entire world. part of her wanted to run, to get far away so she couldn’t hurt him but she also couldn’t just leave him high and dry like that.. not to mention the thought of being away from him after three hundred years made her want to be sick. she left but only long enough to go back home and shower, to change her clothes so she didn’t look the same when he woke.  when she got back home she and azula had it out, they quite literally came to blows with their fists - neither of them having used abilities because they didn’t want to kill each other, zuko already had enough going on. but after the fight it seemed to calm down at least enough to shower, have celestia help her with some cover up to not worry zuko (if he was even still speaking to her) because after what she did, she wouldn’t blame him.  she stopped in the gift shop, picking up some of his favorite snacks and red teddy bear that said ‘i love you.’ it was small, insignificant even for almost taking his life but it was something. the witch quietly reentered the room she had been gone from for only three short hours since he was admitted and she took a seat in a chair at the end of his bed and silently waited for him to wake as tears stroll down her cheeks.
