agate: how my muse calms down

Daphne has always been one to get stressed. It first started with her father, then it went to when her mother would disappear for days. She was always known as the girl with broken and split nails and a bloody lip from chewing on it. As the years went on ( and even after her mother died ). Daphne began to discover music and the calming effect it had on her. 

She began playing the piano at three, but soon stopped due to ‘not being good at it’. At ten, she received a guitar. Later on, she discovered the VIOLIN and it became her outlet. One stroke and she calms down instantly.

Little Daphne has ALWAYS been known for her temper. The littlest thing can set her off. Cigarettes were discovered when she was sixteen, and whenever she gets angry or thinks about injuring someone, she grabs her pack. She’s far from addicted especially when she has had the same pack for the last year. However, nicotine has a calming property to it that relieves her anxiety and anger.

[hair]: length, colour, texture, whether it grows quickly or slowly, how manageable it is, whether it requires lots of styling, do they leave stray hairs everywhere, is it present on their face, is it present on the rest of their body, etc.

daphne’s hair is very dark and very thick; she keeps it long for most of, if not all of, her life. it’s one of the few vanities she allows herself. she also does this in part because all she hears are stories about her mother, when she’s young -- her mother’s hair being a regular topic, for how long and beautiful and dark it was. it’s her unconscious attempt to look like her mother. it’s manageable, very easy to keep up and to style, despite the length and thickness. she’s got some body hair, like most people do -- she keeps everything neat and trimmed or shaved, out of a desire for cleanliness more so than a desire to fulfill what anyone else wants from her.

[eyes]:not just the colour, but the shape, the length of their eyelashes, whether they're alert or usually half-closed, large or small, sunken into the face, ringed by bags, etc.

her eyes are very dark brown, almost black. that’s another thing she inherited from her mother. she really likes how her eyes look, and so she spends a good time highlighting them -- eyeliner and mascara are two things she’ll never let herself run out of. she’s very alert, constantly on edge, and her eyes have a habit of moving around very quickly, which sometimes sets people ill at ease. her eyelashes are long, but there are usually dark circles under her eyes. she doesn’t have many bags or wrinkles, though, because she does employ anti-aging creams and potions.
