♥ When they have a crush on someone, how do they let them know?

She doesn’t, if at all possible. At least more recently!

Still, if she was really feeling someone (which is hard, as she’s become fairly emotionally closed off, but it’s definitely not impossible), Xiu tends to show it through physical closeness. She doesn’t cozy up to people physically easily, but back in Doma, if she liked someone, she liked to have her hands on them, her legs, arms - anything they were okay with. Apart from that, she’ll pretty brazenly flirt. She’s not one to deny herself something that she wants, and although she prefers being pursued, if she really likes someone, she’ll eventually just straight up tell them if they don’t catch the physical hints.

It wasn’t unusual even in the slightest for her to have nightmares. In fact, they seemed to occur more than dreams did. Severity of them was the only differing thing - so it seemed. Tonight’s, just so happened to be more on the severe side of the scale.. 

Vale unconsciously tossed and turned amidst an attempt at sleep, vivid imagery of memories she did well to keep in check while awake.. Flooded her when asleep. She bore witness to her life reversing, like it was all just.. a simple recording that could be fast-forwarded or reversed at will.. Finding it go back, far back. To her parents, at that.  The xaela began murmuring aloud - not even realizing it as she /knew/ what she was going to have to see, “..No.. Nonono..” Right on queue, her parents took a wrong turn, putting them in the wrong place, at a wrong time.. They’d tried to get out of it. But... That only seemed to make things worse. 

“..No.. Please..” Her mumbling continued as her mind /forced/ her to watch on. First, her mother - It wasn’t quick. It wasn’t painless. She was tortured, as if the people who did so, thought she may have had any sort of information.. Yet she was just a simple woman; Gentle, one who minded her own. Eventually they cut her down, leaving her lifeless body to be found in the shambles they’d put it in. 

“NO.” Vale found herself jutting awake as she yelled at the top of her lungs. Her chest heaved erratically as she hyperventilated, her arms clutching at her knees while she sat in bed..  

A sigh escape her all while the auri woman rolled onto her side, “.. Fucking dammit..” Reaching over to a bottle of alcohol that rested on a bedside table, for nights just like these, really.. Vale opened it up and took a heavy swig. Then another. 

And another.

She replaced the cap and returned it to its prior place upon the table, swearing under her breath before she flopped back down fully onto her bedding. Tails curled themselves around her waist, but even that wasn’t going to be enough comfort. Vale reached over to grab one of the excess pillows that rested on the other side of her, clutching it against her chest as she once more,, tried to drift off to slumber, hopefully without any re-occurrences.
