does anyone have suggestions on how to handle this part of a vanilla upscale i'm doing in blender?
left is the upscale after the initial shrinkwrap modifier, right is vanilla. i've been following this and this tutorial and while the first one has a section on how to do different layers of thickness with shrinkwrap, trying to follow the steps they outlined doesn't do anything and results in no changes for me, so i'm stuck on the best way to make the pauldron bits and spikes actually stick out the way they should. any help or directions to other tutorials/guides/videos etc would be appreciated !!! doesn't even need to be xiv specific i'm just not sure how to wade through the 3 million blender videos out there to find a thing about this specific issue.
