This is really random, but I only recently discovered the extent to which my monitor is brighter than most other people’s (I’d say at least 20% brighter on average and more for Macs OTL). Like I knew it was a bit brighter before, but I thought I was still close to everyone else's but nope. And for some reason turning down the brightness on my monitor doesn’t help in the way I need it to...like the whites get dimmer but the darks don’t really look as dark as they should? But anyway if you’ve ever noticed my GIFs seemed too dark (especially those before the last few months)...it’s because of my monitor apparently. It’s also frustrating because screen brightness affects perception of GIF grain...so all these GIFs I worked so hard to clean based on my perception through this monitor actually looked pretty grainy still on darker screens. On the bright side (no pun intended), a lot of GIFs that looked grainy in the darker areas on my screen actually look cleaner to others because darker screens make it hard to differentiate those shades ^^. What a weird problem to have o(-(.

I was trying to just block and ignore after getting a rude message about my rules regarding the Akayona OAD video I shared...but I just have to get this off my chest. Though I know many on this website are young, I hope they eventually realize that they are not just entitled to anything that exists electronically. I have never claimed that the anime was mine, but between buying the manga+DVD, choosing the fastest shipping to have early viewing/GIFing ability, and paying for a ripping program...I have -- despite being rather tight on money -- spent ~$70 to be able to rip and share this OAD video with other fans. I never made rules about the OAD itself but only about the video that I spent a lot of time and money on. I don’t appreciate when people who have presumably not paid a cent try to criticize me for saying I’ll take down my own video if I don’t like how it’s being used. On the other hand, I do greatly appreciate all of the people who have asked permission to use my video in various ways and you guys are the main reason that I decided to temporarily allow it to be downloaded from Vimeo.
