@xmperixm // new asset
‘Dear Mr Forde, could you please find the time to come to asset development to assess and inspect the enclosure of our newest asset. Your professional opinion is also required in the best interests of the asset itself. - Park Operations Management’
He had re-read the email several times before sending back a quick response, letting them know that he was on his way. Despite his busy schedule, he was far more curious to know about the latest asset. If they wanted his opinion on the enclosure, it had to be a big animal. They discovered new genomes everyday, and Jack was intrigued by the possibility of a new species.
Soon he was pulling up to asset development, parking his jeep by the helipad. His first observation was that the enclosure was big. Construction workers where still putting the finishing touches on support beams.
His arrival was expected and soon Claire Dearing came into view.
“I hear someone wants my professional opinion?” Jack spoke dryly, quoting the formal email.
"My operation, my rules."
Indy looked at the redhead over her shoulder and a measured look of contempt filled the hybrid’s piercing eyes. She understood the park provided a measured source of revenue for the company. It didn’t mean that she had to like it.
“Was putting me in the restricted area one of your rules?” she asked.

"Claire don't move." Owen held his hands up, the Metriacanthosaurus behind her could sense her movements. "Do not move." He carefully lit a flare and tossed it in the opposite direction. Hoping to God the dinosaur would take the bait.
“Good new; I’m only nineteen minutes late to our appointment. Fucking great news- at least for me- If I’m here, it means I haven’t gotten eaten by an al- bertosaurus yet!” Jack marked a pau- se, arching an eyebrow. “Do I get out of your office now? Or are you plan- ning on scolding me again?”

He just had to open his mouth. Just had to keep going when it clearly pissed off Claire. Fuck. He was such an idiot. Like....the biggest on the island. He was sure of that. "Look. I'm sorry, alright?"he spoke, following her out. "I'm just....not that good with people. Never was. Which is why I've mainly worked around animals my whole life." He gently grabbed her arm to make her face him. "I should have shut up about you missing out not working with the dinosaurs. But I'm not exactly good at picking up on social cues." He looked a bit embarrassed, though his eyes were soft and hopeful. "I well. Erm." He cleared his throat, shaking his head slightly. "I know I'm an ass. Just. Don't be angry, alright?"
He didn't even know why he cared so much. He just did. Claire was really only one of the few people he had any contact with. Mainly out of choice. But still.

Boats. Dean hated boats. All he could think about while travelling on them was the Titanic, and sinking, and the rocking roll of the ocean. It sucked. But it was better than flying, that was sure enough. Nothing, nothing, beat his Impala. Luckily, the boat had been big enough to take it over to this Isla Nublar, and he still could keep all his gear in the trunk. Hell, yes. Whatever was assaulting this island wasn’t going to last much longer.
“So, get this.” Sam said, pulling out the notes he had accumulated on the case. Pencil scratching lined the paper, with various circles and underlines to emphasize points. “The Park reopened twenty years after the first dinosaur massacre. Who knows what those souls endured? But anyway, the point is, things started happening after this Indomious Rex got out.” Despite the media’s best efforts to cover up the extent of the drama, Sam had been able to find quite a bit. “A lot of people died, Dean. As they attempt to rebuild, more and more of the staff are getting picked off. That’s why Owen called us.”
“The raptor man?” Dean asked. He had heard of Owen Grady. He tried to calm his boat-rattled nerves and cast a sideways glance at his brother. “That dude was navy. This has to be something big to rattle his bones.”
